Bayonetta 2 director Yusuke Hashimoto has stated on Twitter that if there was one IP he would like to work on next it would be revolve around Spider-Gwen. Whether he will make a game based on Spider-Gwen remains to be seen, but it would certainly be an interesting project for him. Spider-Gwen made her appearance during Marvel’s Spider-Verse comic book event.
“If I had to work with an existing IP, I’d want to make a game in the Spider-Verse,” he said. “Especially a Spider-Gwen game.”
My eyes would not be able to produce enough happy tears if that were the case.

Well you should, don’t just suggest you make something go and try to make it happen. Hopefully it isn’t Activision publishing it they lost their publishing agreement last year (or so i’ve told) they actually made Platinum make a bad game with Korra. Even though Nintendo rarely does licensing they could still partner up with them, 3rd parties would just rush them to complete
Now that I think about it, Platinum Games should’ve always done the Spider-Man series. Unlike Activision, PG actually gives a damn about quality and gameplay. I would definitely buy this game if it came to fruition because I trust Platinum Games, their track record speaks for itself
On one hand I really don’t want this considering that Gwen Stacy is one of those characters that died permanently in the comics, but if Hideki Kamiya is involved, it could be interesting.
Spider-Gwen, though, is an alternate reality where Gwen got the powers rather than Peter, so she became Spider-Woman (the line of comics call her Spider-Gwen though). The main timeline Gwen is still dead.
But spider gun is still alive and if they keep her after secret wars we could see her back
Well, they all eventually die. I don’t think it makes Gwens story any less appealing just because she goes a little sooner than the rest of them…

Oooo! I just happened to stumble upon a Spider-Gwen comic book yesterday at my local comic book store. I had not heard about it before. Interesting and ironic to hear the name mentioned again today and by Platinum Games no less!
I would be interested in the game, simply because Platinum is awesome and Spider-Gwen looks badass. Something her and Bayonetta have in common.
The series is recently new and interesting. :) I gotta check out the comic and hope the game will happen and that PG gets the green light to make it and for Nintendo as well.

Her introduction in Spider-Verse was awesome; So awesome that it started a movement to get her own book. The cries for this were so loud that she got her own book just months after her first appearance….. and the first two issues have been rather disappointing. Art style is still cool, the rest is mediocre unfortunately.
There are a ton of other Spider-Man and Marvel characters that deserve their own game over her.

Good to hear imagination and creativity still exists in the Spiderman world. Can’t say that about Activisions POS Spiderman games that have been nothing but uninspired cash grab movie tie in games… It’s hard to believe Marvel has no standard of quality for one of it’s biggest characters. Movie wise and game wise… pffts

And to be fair, the Second Amazing Spider Man was much better than the first one. But honestly every Spider Man movie that has ever been made has been extremely mediocre. And next to Batman, Spider Man has always been my favorite Super Hero..
Well Spider-Man movies basically flopped after Spider-Man 3. But I thought ASM2 was good.
The ones fucking up some of Marvel’s franchises is mainly Fox with F4 and Sony with Spider-Man being average with their direction.
