Here’s The Launch Trailer for Skylanders: SuperChargers

Activision has kicked its popular toys-to-life series into high gear with today’s North American launch of Skylanders: SuperChargers. A nifty new trailer has been released as part of its launch and features the brand new vehicles, as well as bringing in stuntman and professional Motorsports competitor, Travis Pastrana, to present some of the crazy stunts Skylanders vehicles can perform. As with the monsters themselves, players will be able to traverse the land, sea, and air with the various vehicles coming to the title, which promise “more power, more speed” and “more adventure”.

As announced previously during this year’s E3, Skylanders SuperChargers launches with two distinct starter packs for Wii U. Available on the home console is the standard starter pack with Donkey Kong and his adjoining vehicle, the barrel blaster. And, in addition, the special dark edition Wii U starter pack, which includes the dark version of Donkey Kong, alongside his dark barrel blaster vehicle.

On the other hand, those looking to purchase the Wii and 3DS versions will find Skylanders: SuperChargers Racing starter packs available from today in the US. A diluted version of the main game, SuperChargers Racing will come with Bowser and his clown cruiser, though will be the only way to obtain his character figure. Activision has also stated that a separate dark version will be available for Bowser but only on the Wii. Skylanders: SuperChargers is now available for Wii U, Playstation 3, Playstation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One in the United States and is set to launch in Europe on September 25.

    1. Considering they’re still actually making Wii versions, I’d say they haven’t been treating nintendo fans like shit at all, it’s not like we want COD anyways lol

      1. Ok, my apologies then, since I’ve spoken so densely without much knowledge. It’s just that I remember hearing stuff about them ignoring Nintendo consoles with certain games. Activision has made cool games for Nintendo in the past, it would be cool if they made some now.

    2. Deethun,

Activision approached Nintendo about making Skylanders (software AND toys) before Skylanders was even 10% underway of being created.

Nintendo declined and Activision made the “Toys to Life” industry what it is today.

So if it weren’t for Activision, there wouldn’t be any amiibos.

Holy crow it is available for Wii, I wouldn’t have thought they would waste the energy putting out Wii versions. @.@

      1. They’ve been getting pretty consistent sales from Wii Owners even with the other versions available, so why not toss out a low res, lower content filled version lol

  1. activition acting like a two faced girlfreind or poor girl who marrys a rich guy then claims his mum and dads house when they die

    SLUTIVITION
