Today, Atlus has revealed that there’s a brand new Shin Megami Tensei title in development for the Nintendo 3DS. The game is titled Shin Megami Tensei IV: Final and is due to be released in February in Japan where it is expected to perform well. Famitsu says that the game is directed by Satoshi Oyama, who you may know as the Chief Programmer on Shin Megami Tensei IV, Nocturne and also the Digital Devil Saga games.

    1. Yeah, something that Atlus is well known for is releasing a more refined package of their games a year or two after initial release. I would imagine a new area will be added and possibly more controlled input to how the story develops, maybe even going so far as to add an extra branching storyline to the game. It would also be nice to see more variety in the demons early in the game, this could be achieved by implementing a new arcana or two.

  2. Well, at least the SMT fans got something to enjoy instead of bitching about Persona or threatening suicide over Genei Ibun Roke #FE.
