Nintendo DS: Nintendo Launches Classic Books Range For Ds

Nintendo have decided to compete against e-reader electronic devices such as Amazon’s Kindle and Sony’s Reader in an effort to entice people to consume classic literature in electronic form on their Nintendo Ds.  The library consisting of 100 classic titles will launch December 26th and comprises of prestigious novels such as 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and Gulliver’s Travels.

  1. Wow, it’s about time! Once, my boss saw me playing the reading challenge in Brain Age, and asked me if the DS had books, too – I’m glad that’s starting to happen, now!

  2. Indeed. It’s a fantastic medium to bring to the DS and will only expand the consoles user base further. Hopefully it’ll be a roaring success and we will see new novels also being released in this format :)
