Nintendo Wii: Zelda Wii Demo Scheduled For E3 2010

Zelda series director Eiji Aonuma recently sat down with the Official Nintendo Magazine to discuss the highly anticipated Zelda game for the Nintendo Wii.

According to Aonuma development on the game is already well under way and the Nintendo team are hopeful that they will be able to show off the fruits of their labour at next years E3 gaming expo.

Eiji Aonuma said that the firm was already in the process of creating “scenarios, dungeon-making and so on”.

He added that the game was already working with MotionPlus and that his team had “already got a very solid response” from the technology.

He said: “You may be under the impression that we are still only in the early stages of development – [but] in fact we are well into the making of the game…

“Our team has been working on making the building blocks regarding the action – the scenarios, dungeon-making and so on. We are well underway.”

He added: “I hope that we can show you something at the E3 show next year and it is something we are hopeful will be surprising.”

  1. Since they said it will revolve around Twilight Princess, that’s awesome. Either way I’ll play any CONSOLE Legend of Zelda.

Sure hope they put the demo on the Wii channel thing. forgot the name..just got my wii.

  2. Eh… that doesn’t necessarily mean a demo. They might just have a really, REALLY awesome trailer and on-stage gameplay.

          1. Still, they’re saying this Zelda will be the first game to ever use 100% of the Wii’s hardware capabilities.

We’ll see. Silent Hill: Shattered Memories has already shown that the Wii can do better than most games for the console suggest, it’s just that developers usually don’t care. If that SH game didn’t use 100% of the console’s power, this Zelda can be a great surprise for many.

  4. first off, it’s rumored to be based around TP, so stop spreading lies. Second, Nintendo always demos their games. (look at previous E3 showings –> TP, Super Mario Galaxy, fucking Spirit Tracks standing behind Eiji Aonuma above). third, this is going to be the best zelda yet. Nintendo keeps topping themselves in the Zelda franchise, so stop bitching and criticizing, and celebrate the dam series.
