Nintendo 3DS: Shigeru Miyamoto Discusses Possibilities For Mario 3DS

Shigeru Miyamoto recently had the chance to sit down with online gaming publication IGN to discuss what he would have liked to change in the iconic Super Mario World for the Super Nintendo.

“Well you know a lot of the ideas that I would have liked to have implemented in Super Mario World have come to life in later Mario games since then. But the question gets me thinking about what fun it would be to create a Super Mario World game on the Nintendo 3DS and how we could use the depth and the sense of distance offered by 3D visuals on the world map and on the maps in that game, so that you have Bullet Bills flying at you from a distance and popping up off the screen.”

  1. sounds like he’d add in a lot of horizon related stuff, much like the last boss in Yoshi’s Island. Should be epic.

    1. That game was freakin’ awesome! Speaking of it, just imagine a remake on the 3DS, like they’re doing with OOT and Star Fox.

  2. Super Mario World is one of the Best, if not THE BEST, game of all time!!! A sequel would have to be a definite must buy for every gamer out there.

  3. They should make the. 3DS like one of those. Slide smart phones
Because I don’t like the fact that I need to flip it open like an old cell phone. They should make it more modern. Who knows nintendo might have something up there sleeves.
