Nintendo 3DS: Street Fighter 3DS Will Be A “Perfect Port” From Consoles

Street Fighter producer Yoshinori Ono has told online gaming publication Kotaku that the forthcoming Super Street Fighter IV 3DS will be a “perfect port” of the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 versions.

“The gameplay we can port perfectly from the PS3 and Xbox 360 version and we’re not going to subtract anything out of that,” he said. “It is how we adjust the graphics that will help people remember what sort of game they used to play in the 90s.

“When you put the 3D slider on max the game will be between looking into the (game world) and the characters jumping out at you, so you can distinguish the background and characters very clearly.”

  1. I’m really looking forward to this game. I’m not sure why, but I am. Maybe because I haven’t played a Street Fighter game since I last played it in an arcade…..which was a decade or more ago, lol.

  2. You know what? I don’t even know what multiplayer options the PS3 version has. Does it have online multiplayer? I really hope the 3DS version has that. I see no reason why it wouldn’t have it, actually.

  3. It will definitely have multiplayer. In fact, I can see nearly all 3DS titles having some sort of multiplayer connection with this data transfer feature.

    1. That’s true. I’d forgotten about that. I really hope the 3DS brings with it a whole new era of online multiplayer gaming for Nintendo. I hope they start from scratch with the next consoles online capabilities and do away with friend codes.
