No kidding. It stunk. The SNES one on an emulator is a MUCH better option. It’s not a redo, it’s a port and a bad one at that.
Well considering all four of the original versions of the Mario Games in the All-Stars pack is available on Virtual Console at 5 bucks a piece, I can see why this 25th anniversary might not do so well. I mean it looks great for a collector to hold but, we already have access to the games.
Even though those games ARE beautiful 16Bit remakes, we already have Super Mario All Stars on SNES/SFC. Now maybe if Nintendo gave it a even fresher artstyle (like watercolor) or something more unique, we would feel we NEED to own this. I will personally still get it, but i’m playing devils ad
Hopefully the UK was smart enough to not buy four games of which were released on the Super Nintendo. Not only that, but you could find a Super Nintendo and this title for cheaper than this.

Aw, man, really? Crap, I wanted this. I’ll probably still get it, even though I own the original All-Stars, but I’ll probably wait until the price has gone down. How much is it anyway? The standard $50?
I think it’s either $29.99 or $39.99.
It would have been worth it if the actually “remade” it and not just ported it. NIntendo can be so lazy and stingy sometimes.
Why couldn’t they do it new super mario bros. style? That would’ve been epic and instant buy for me xD
Wait a minute….I thought I read in Nintendo Power that it wasn’t just a port, and that it had updated graphics? I’m going to go look, because I’m sure I’ve read that somewhere.

They should realise that the old time fans are grown ups now and have played those games to death. What I would like to buy is a special edition with commentary speach (with subtitles) that you can activate on given locations in the game. And also behind the scene footage. Even the opportunity to play some of the personal drawings of levels that I know Miyamoto sketched ouy himself (yes, i wrote “play”, the could easyliy scan some of the remaining sketches and have them as backdrop.) I mean, be more creative, Nintendo!
