Nintendo 3DS: The Nintendo 3DS Features Friend Codes

According to the latest edition of Japanese gaming bible Famitsu Super Street Fighter IV 3D edition will feature friend codes.

It’s not apparent yet whether these friend codes are game specific or universal but undoubtedly we will be given more information on this matter during the 3DS press event on the 19th.

  1. They promised to improve the online experience….so I guess they won’t be mandatory…only to register people.
Friend codes didn’t work, but I’m sure they can when done right.

  2. LOL, every since the Nintendo World event the 3DS news just seems to be getting worse… I’m starting to believe those £250 price rumours.

  3. The more tedious something is, the less it gets used. That’s a universal fact. No, I don’t want to enter 10 friend codes for every game even though “the game and console were treated as one” in the 7th generation.

  4. Pingback: Fried codes to return :(

  5. Goddamn it…

FCs are a pain. You have to go online to fetch them unless you’re around someone who has them immediately…then retrieving them is also a pain. I mean on the Wii, at least you can go to the browser–but you still have to find a forum or something where others have theirs posted.

…games like Monster Hunter Tri showed they’re not needed at all.
