Nintendo: Super Mario (Monino) Appears On Apple iOS

A blatant rip-off of the Super Mario franchise appeared on Apples App Store under the guise of ‘Monino’ but was promptly removed due to obvious copyright infringement.

Monino was an iPhone remake of the classic Super Mario World complete with the basic plot, settings and graphical style of the revered Super Nintendo title. Here’s the amusing product description:

“You’re going to LOVE this: “The protagonist of this game named Monino, in the story of this game, Monino’s brother was captured by a monster named Bowler, he is on the road to Bowler’s castle to rescue his brother, a lot of monsters in different levels are waiting for him, would you like to join Monino’s rescue action? Go!”.

    1. no, ppl are tired of waiting for @BING to load all the game videos for you. Besides, to be honest… not every Mario level/world is the same… but after a while, Angry Bird levels seem to be tedious & repetitive, imo.

  1. LMAO XD But there are a lot of Mario Rip-Offs in the Android Market as well. Oow I love Android. Google only removes malicious apps :D

  2. i think this was a smart move by whoever “dimed-out” Apple for this game. Apple has been taking alot of shots @ Nintendo (and in turn, Nintendo HAS made some pretty crappy comments about Apple) but when you are going to blatantly copy something then get called on it.. you in turn look like the jerk/loser. Kudos Nintendo & whistleblower.

  3. Damn would’ve liked to snag this, oh wait I don’t play games on my iPhone because they suck. Anyone that tells you different or compares angry birds to a full game is an apple fanboy. 2.99 for a shite game is still shite.
