Nintendo Wii U: Nintendo Say They Would Do ‘Something Really Cool’ With StarFox On Wii U

Animal Crossing developer Katsuya Eguchi, a Nintendo veteran and producer on upcoming Wii U projects, believes that Nintendo could do ‘something really cool’ with StarFox on the Wii U. Eguchi has already hinted that Metroid could be coming to the Wii U, but this is the first time he has mentioned bringing the StarFox franchise to the console. Let’s hope Nintendo really are thinking about doing ‘something really cool’ with StarFox on the Wii U. What would you personally like to see?

“You saw the HD Zelda demo at the briefing and how detailed and graphically awesome that looked. “So that’s something you can see in a Zelda game. Or for Metroid or Star Fox, we could do something really cool, bring those out a little bit more.”

  1. Whoa slow down there partner…..are you implying an HD Star Fox and Metroid with a new interesting way to play. Sooooo gonna be Bankrupt, Hail to Nintendo idc what anybody says

  2. Just wanted to drop that I believe that statement is actually general, and not directly meant towards Star Fox. Don’t want to kill the mood, but I believe he’s just stating that the graphics of all of those games can be ‘really cool’.

  4. Hmmm hd metriod with online bounty hunter mission would be cool.
Starfox with a cool geometric them and high end tech surrounding cartoon like animals would cool also. I want a starfox like the snes style cute and dark and weird and like afterburner!
Then you have f zero which could have all tracks in it and a track editor that lets you use the drawing capabilities of the wiiu.

Then you have lost story in hd, pandora in hd, xenoblade in hd yet they are sequels! These are going to be interesting times as long as nintendo channels the snes and the possible fx chip.

Nintendo should leave the possiblity of sli fir the gpu.

    1. sorry bro, nintendo dosent take suggestions…….

(tried it myself, suggested there should be an online system on new super mario bros.mii)

  5. What would be a really cool style to do a Star Fox game in on the Wii U: the SNES box and promotional art. The ships and environments are super detailed/”realistic,” and the characters are clay. All the bumps and blended spots on their body would be clearly visible.

    1. If they make a new star fox it would either be from assault or commands ending where the team is back together with amanda or the other one where it says fox and krystal gets the team back together….

  6. I WANT TO SEE A STARFOX GAME WHERE YOU ON/OFF SHIP ADVENTURE…WHERE YOU HAVE TO FIND UPGRADES OR PARTS ON PLANETS AND FIGHT MOSTLY IN SPACE…LIKE WHEN YOUR SHIP TAKES DAMAGE YOU HAVE TO EXPLORE SPACE AND PLANETS….AND FOR GRAPHICS???? UHM 3D SCROLLING IN SPACE….2.5D ON LAND = GREAT GAME

  7. COME ON STARFOX !!!
    1 MORE TIME!!!1 MORE RUN!!!
1 MORE ENCRIDIBLE, AWSOME,EPIC,AMAZING,FREAKEN PILOTS YOU
    ARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!XD

    Impress me Nintendo:D

  8. Well… if Nintendo is going to make a Star fox game for the Wii u it would suck if they continue the Star fox command game. because that game destroyed all the Star fox series. It would be better if they continue Star fox assault. And if you think about it, Star fox command has nothing to do with assault. on the final ending in command fox and Falco go on F-ZERO, WHAT???!!!!. So Nintendo has to make a Star fox game that continues Assault (that’s my opinion) =)

    1. yes command had a very FUCKED up split ending thing that i absolutely HATED!!!! it was like they get together then split later, they leave and forget everything, sucked -_- so an assault sequel is very very possible (not command)
