Eurogamer is reporting that GameStop are currently selling the Nintendo 3DS for a mere £134.97 ahead of the official price cut. At this precise moment in time only the Cosmo Black Nintendo 3DS is available on the website for this price. It will be interesting to see how much the supermarkets decide to stock it for.

Ordering a 3DS online now is irrelevant, as it won’t arrive in time to apply for the Ambassador Program, even with recorded delivery.
I bought mine on eBay about a week ago for £142, which I’m happy with, as it gave me plenty of time to make sure I was an Ambassador.
GAME are selling it for the same price.
Didn’t even know the UK had Gamestop lol.
That reminds me. When is Metroid Fusion supposed to be coming up? It was posted earlier that we could get it by 11th yet it’s not on the e-shop.
The eShop is updated each Thursday. So tomorrow being the 11th I’d expect it then. From my experience it’s usually around 3:00pm.
Metroid fusion won’t be out for some time(I think it will be out by the end of year for Ambassadors) along with other 9 GBA games
Nintendo tweeted this:
It’s Metroid’s 25th anniversary! Nintendo #3DS Ambassadors, connect to the Nintendo eShop by 11:59pm ET on 8/11 to get Metroid Fusion.
I naturally assumed it meant it would be early.
That just means you’ll be registered as an Ambassador, and thus be eligible to download it once it’s released.
Wow! I’ve seen shops still selling the DSi for that price! The DSi XL for £150, too!
they dont plan on lowering the DSi and DSi XL even with the 3DS price cut, it’s silly really, but I guess they can’t really lower DSi prices to less than £100 as the DS Lite is still around £100, and the DSi was £150 when it first came out. It’ll be a long time before you can get a DSi XL for less than £100
Crap, and I bought it for £200. I’m really starting to get furious about that, Now I’m definitely waiting At least a year before buying WiiU
I hope you’re being sarcastic.
fair enough for you, but I bought mine for £197 too on release, and I’m likely to get the Wii U on release too. A price drop is always going to happen with consoles, and everyone will say “oh I wish I bought it now instead of back then!” but really, that’s life, and tuff really.
And FYI, the Wii U will NOT get a price drop for at least 1 year, probably longer, look at the Wii, that has only had 1 or 2 price drops, and it was only in the last 1 or 2 years
Well actually the 3DS price drop is not the only reason for me deciding to buy the WiiU later. But there is a chance for an early WiiU price drop (definitely not a major one, but still) since I’m guessing that quite a lot of people will wait because of the 3DS price cut, Unless NIntendo will release many very good titles relatively early to the WiiU release
Exactly – if the WiiU has strong first-party launch titles, it will do well and I’ll probably buy one near launch. I know production hasn’t even begun on it yet, but imagine the WiiU sales if Smash Bros was a launch title! Unbelievably unlikely though.
now what does that translate to in US dollars?
