New Racing Game Confirmed For Wii U

Slightly Mad Developers have confirmed that Project Cars will be arriving on Wii U. The racing game is already confirmed for development on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC. The news emerged when the developers slapped a Wii U logo onto the games artwork. Unfortunately Project Cars has yet to find a publisher but in an interesting turn of events the development team turned to forum members to not only to invest in the game but also to advise and write code for Project Cars in return for a slice of revenue.

    1. The question is… What version of the game is this footage from??? The graphics look amazing! Are they from the Wii U version perhaps?

        1. To me the drained color sets a nice mood. Also, if you pay attention to the trailer there’s very thick, dark clouds. I don’t know about you, but in the real world, when that happens, everything looks a little grey and not as bright.

            1. Well, of course that depends on personal preference, but with colors like this it indeed gives me a bad weather mood. It can look nice when done carefully, which isn’t the case here :\
However, the actual game seems to look fine on the screenshots, so all is well.

    1. That would be cool to see a realistic map in mario kart. Maybe just one.
I can imagine most maps being pretty cartoony, but still look incredible.

    2. Ha ha, YES! The graphics here look pretty sick, so I have high hopes for what the Wii U will be able to pull off. Mario will never be the same when the Wii U launches.

      1. Exactly. It’s a racing SIM. It’s meant to look like real life.

So, in that case I suppose it’s supposed to look bland. Also, let’s not forget it’s STILL in development.

  1. Project C.A.R.S. is the one game that’s gonna murder Sony/Polyphony Digital’s Gran Turismo series. I’m looking forward to that game for the Wii U. I hope that Simply Mad Studios find the right publisher to produce this new masterpiece on next year’s release…

  2. Hmm this has peaked my interest I’d love to play a good wii racing game. Most games accept mario kart wii and excite series games aren’t very good to my opiniun
Hopefully nintendo will make a good mario kart on wii u.

  3. Don’t know what that one guy was on about. I though the game looked great; spot on. Real life isn’t over saturated the colors more or less looked as close to real-life as can be. Any more real and you’d be sitting in the car itself (also very cool).

  4. They don’t even have hands in the game….whaahahahaha the steering wheel just moves on its own…OMG

    Sorry, that’s ridiculous.

      1. I was just pointing out the one thing that did not fit next gen and logics…;)
First I was like, omg Xbox kinect trailer? XD

  5. Oh, man. That game looks great. Like a real racing sim. I think it would look and play beautifully on the Wii U. and if you’re into more traditional controls, you can use the Wii wheel that was included with Mario Kart Wii.

  6. And the Wii U news keeps on coming. Nice.

Is this like the Battlefield 3 ofracing games? Cuz that’s the feeling I got watching the vid anyway.
