Latest NPD Top 25 Includes At Least Eight Nintendo 3DS Games

Yesterdays NPD sales figures for North America have shown that there’s at least eight Nintendo 3DS games in the top twenty-five software chart. The NPD group told Joystiq that “some examples” of the 3DS titles that made the list include Skylanders: Spyro’s Adventure, Mario Kart 7, Super Mario 3D Land, FIFA Soccer, Lego Star Wars 3: The Clone Wars, Lego Pirates of the Caribbean, Resident Evil: Revelations, and Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games.

    1. Not really. Skylanders is cool :p if it were around when I was a kid I’d have bought it and every action figure. Granted, I’m a bit old to go and buy them now but this would have been right up my alley as a kid.

The fact that it sold for 3ds is surprising though. I considered it more of a console game.

      1. Well yeah when I worked at GameStop kids were Shittin their pants just to have this game. Parents were desperately seekin out as many of the toys as possible to shut their kids up. An interestin sight that was…..

  1. I’m still waiting for reviews on PES 12/FIFA 12… can’t find any from my regular gaming sites… especially for the former. I enjoy soccer in real life, but sometimes it’s just a good time playing a 1v1 virtual soccer game.

For now, I’m anxiously waiting for KIU.

    1. I’d have thought there would be quite a few reviews for those games as they’re immensely popular here in the UK. Sure some will pop up soon.

    1. Nintendo will never be finished. Watch out for the Wii U or whatever they will call it. Nintendo 3ds sold 5 million units faster in Japan that any gaming consoles/portable EVER!

  3. Not surprised, the 3DS has all kind of great games that have come out in the last few months, and that would likely still be selling now. Especially when you keep in mind that it hasn’t even been half a year since Mario 3D Land and Mario Kart 7 came out…
