Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime said during today’s Wii U Preview that over 50 games will be released for Wii U during the upcoming console’s launch window.

Wii U launch window games include Pikmin 3, Trine 2, Tekken Tag Tournament 2, Darksiders II, Transformers Prime, and Ninja Gaiden: Razor’s Edge.

Wii U will launch in North America on November 18th and Europe on November 30th.

      1. Well, of course it’s not exactly like we know all of the games at launch yet – we all have our preferences, so no doubt many of these will still entertain folks regardless.

Not buying at Launch, however, but it IS on the Purchase list.

      2. COD: Black Ops 2 is confirmed to run at 1080p 60 FPS! This shows us that the next titles in 2013 are more likely to be polished to run at that resolution.

Now it makes me happy knowing that we will get a future Metroid game that will run at 1080p 60 FPS. Or a Zelda one. It is enough to assure me that I’ll get great Nintendo games in the long run… Hmm… Also a bit of 3rd party ones. Anyway, Wii U is a must-buy to me!

        1. At the cost of clearly looking worse than the 360 versions? Those textures were quite terrible, and don’t try to blame the stream since that was a pretty clear one.

          1. aeoluslikestosuckoffmonkeydicksandthemonkeyisicydeadpeopleandtheyalsoseemtobeidiots

Ugh, it’s the developers fault if the textures look bad, not the hardwares, heck, if it were the hardware’s fault then it probably couldn’t run the games in 1080p at 60FPS anyway. It could have been that they just took the PS360 version(s) of BLOPS2 and upscaled them, which could kind of explain the textures, it’s not Activisions 1st time that they upscale or downscale a CoD game…

            1. I’m not blaming the console, the point is while yes, it runs at full HD, it clearly isn’t up to scratch with the 360 version when it comes to the textures and models.

Looks like they reallllllllllllly wanted that full HD and 60fps on both controllers.

              1. aeoluslikestosuckoffmonkeydicksandthemonkeyisicydeadpeopleandtheyalsoseemtobeidiots

I don’t know, CoD always looked pretty shitty to me. Maybe we just see the textures now because of the HD and 60FPS, that is also a possibility. And how come you aren’t bashing the console, aren’t you Aeolus (Probably not, though, there have been other imposters.)?

                1. Could be a scenario, but I somehow doubt it.

There’s nothing to “bash” that hasn’t already been brought up in previous threads, I’m just not that impressed with the additional details. This is mostly just stuff I’ve known in the back of my head for months.

Bayonetta 2 was perhaps the only ballsy, worthwhile announcement coming from them. They need to do this more often.

                  1. i agree with this. nintendo needs to come harder. Bayonetta 2 announcement was interesting. But nintendo does need a whole lot more exclusives to get

          2. why are you even bothering to watch this stream? both nintendo and its systems seem to not appeal at all to you, so whats the point in even watching the conference?

          3. DId it fuck look worse than the 360 version , lol!!! what were you judgeing it off , a low res video player ?? it looked great from what i saw , when it is on your tv . it will look the best version of the game hands down. 100%

            1. It very well looked worse than the 360 version of BO II’s gameplay trailers. Only a sheep with terrible eyesight would try to deny it.

      3. Talk about butt hurt at its finest. You need therapy, your ms games division does not even have enough imagination to make a GAMES FREAK master piece like pokemon. Let me not even unleash Retro on your delusional self. Feels good to know we shall be gaming exclusives that you guys that are not gamers won’t enjoy because you only buy exbox. I have all systems so I won’t miss out on alan wake 2.

        1. i agreed with aeolus with this 1, he is not blaming the wii U hardware, he is just blaming BO 2 how horrible it looks on the wii u, it looks very streched. activision (treyarch) got very lazy on this 1

      4. Even Patcher is pleased by its launch windows and support. Your trolling has become so obvious nowadays.

Get N or get the fuck out!

  1. Very disappointed with the presentation game-wise. I still don’t have that killer game to get on day 1 with the Wii U. Oh well, I just have to wait till next year when Aliens comes out *sigh*. Guess I’ll just play Nintendo Land till then since i’m getting the Deluxe package.

    1. Im not i will be getting black ops 2 and play the shit out of it while playing nintendo land while playing ac 3 :p

    2. New Super Mario Bros. U looks pretty good if you are a fan of Mario platformers. I know that is my number one most wanted game because the more I hear about it the more I fall in love with it.

        1. that would you are not a fan of 60% of mario titles, even if it is a rehash, i still want it albiet only if it is properly innovating, if i could, i’d go back in time and NOT buy NSMB2 that game wasn’t very good, NSMB Wii was much better and I have a feeling U will not disappoint

          1. he can still be a fan of mario titles without liking rehashed ones.

especially considering nintendo has only recently started doing that with that mario series.

this is the 4th of a series that hasnt changed much aside from adding co-op

although mario galaxy 2 to me isnt a rehash because its the level design that makes that game a true sequel. Although it would have been the perfect game if it had split screen co-op

      1. I was really skeptical about both new NSMB. After playing NSMB2 though, I got pretty excited for the things announced for NSMBU.

NSMB2 is surely a rehash, but that level design is to make love with.

    3. Am i the only one that heard him say, “you’ll see a big franchise today that fans have been waiting for a long time”?

      1. aeoluslikestosuckoffmonkeydicksandthemonkeyisicydeadpeopleandtheyalsoseemtobeidiots

Bayonetta 2? Monster Hunter 3 Unlimited? There’s quite a lot of games that fans could have been waiting for actually. Did he specifically say ”Nintendo fans”?

          1. aeoluslikestosuckoffmonkeydicksandthemonkeyisicydeadpeopleandtheyalsoseemtobeidiots

So he said ”Nintendo fans”? The Nintendo of Europe president didn’t say anything about that. Maybe it was Retro’s game, but they, again, called it back. Or maybe Reggie confused something/lied.

    4. aeoluslikestosuckoffmonkeydicksandthemonkeyisicydeadpeopleandtheyalsoseemtobeidiots

Dude, it’s CoD, and you are disappointed even though it isn’t even over (Well, now it is, but it probably wasn’t when you posted your comment.)? There’s about 50 games in the launch window (Most of them aren’t probably announced.) and you are telling me none of them suite you?

        1. aeoluslikestosuckoffmonkeydicksandthemonkeyisicydeadpeopleandtheyalsoseemtobeidiots

Well, still a good range of games that’ll keep you occupied until the launch window games start getting brought out, which I think will start coming out a week after the launch (That’s just my guess.). Still, that’s an impressive launch and launch window for a system that is getting bashed by haters as well as Nintendo fans, not to mention analysts. I’m surprised they even got that many developer’s attention after the fan’s disgust for the system.

            1. aeoluslikestosuckoffmonkeydicksandthemonkeyisicydeadpeopleandtheyalsoseemtobeidiots

I also expected to be hearing about it, but I was very pleased by hearing all the other game announcements, there were just so many exclusives (BTW, I was watching the European stream, so maybe you guys didn’t hear about all of them.).
I think it’s going to be fine, we’re gamers, we’re used to waiting, especially with Nintendo, and having to wait for it is actually good news, it means that the game would be even bigger/more polished/ect.
You’ll find a game to kill time with :)

          1. its really not all that impressive when you consider how many of those are ports. and even then, not the ports that would really excite fans.

very few non nintendo exclusives. None of the nintendo games are “triple A” efforts.

its not a terrible roster of games for the launch window. But there is no Killer app

    5. same here. in fact im so disappointed that i’ve decided to hold out till next year.

I love nintendo. but i refuse to reward them for not having any killer apps or “triple a” titles that arent ports within the launch window.

uhhh..and the capcom support. basically an upgrade of a wii game. lame

hopefully many of you find something in there you guys consider must have. unfortunately, i didnt see a single game i thought was worth buying the system on day one or within the launch window.

      1. aeoluslikestosuckoffmonkeydicksandthemonkeyisicydeadpeopleandtheyalsoseemtobeidiots

Man, those weren’t 50 games that they showed (At least not on the European stream.), there’s got to be 1 game that is a must have for you.

        1. not one…there are games that look like a lot of fun to play. Who doesnt want to play

          new super mario bros wiiu

          or the wonderful 101

          Nintendoland

great games….but i feel like everything i saw would be great supplementry titles to killer apps if i saw any…and i didnt. I didnt see anything that spoke to me and said, this is why you need this system. at least not yet i havent

  2. NSMBU seems a little better now, although it still is not particularly interesting.
Pikmin 3 we learned absolutely nothing about.
All the other games mentioned were shit and/or we already knew about them.
Weren’t we supposed to learn about big 1st party 2013 games today??
I don’t care about Nintendo TVii since I just watch stuff on the internet.
The only moderately good thing that came from this “6 hour conference” was that Nintendoland will be bundled with the premium package.

    1. aeoluslikestosuckoffmonkeydicksandthemonkeyisicydeadpeopleandtheyalsoseemtobeidiots

Seriously, what did you Americans watch? What are these shit games?

  3. The conference was great. Monster Hunter, COD Black Ops 2 and Bayonetta 2 are all coming to the Wii U. They didn’t reveal the price of the Wii U pro controller though. Kinda sad that no Wii remote will be included, but I can live with that. I’m getting the Deluxe package. Gonna be an awesome Christmas. Leave luck to heaven.

    1. The conference was shitty for those of us Nintendo fans. -_-
Why on Earth would I get a Wii U for COD when I don’t want to play it on the 360 I already have?? We learned nothing of any interest about NINTENDO games.

      1. aeoluslikestosuckoffmonkeydicksandthemonkeyisicydeadpeopleandtheyalsoseemtobeidiots

That’s because those are probably getting revealed next E3, just live with the 2 launch games, and the 1 launch window game until the new 3D Mario game gets announced, the new Retro game, and so forth, it’s not like they stop developing games after 1-2 of their games are ready.

    2. … And why would they include a Wii remote ?
It’s like saying “Oh, too bad they don’t include a Gamecube controller when buying a Wii.”
Doesn’t make any sense to me.

        1. I know you said that. But I don’t understand why you would bring up the Wii remote at all. I don’t see any reason why anyone would want the Wii remote to be included when buying the WiiU, it’s the controller of an old system after all. Why include it to the successor of that old system when the newer one has its own new controllers ?
It just doesn’t make any sense to me, as I said before.

    3. Agreed. This Christmas is going to rob me blind but I’m going to love it. This is the biggest launch line-up I have ever experienced on a Nintendo console.

        1. lol, The gamecube had Luigi’s Mansion, Melee, Mario Sunshine, Metroid Prime, Pikmin, and Wind Waker all in like the first year. What do we have? NSMBWii 2.0 and Pikmin 3.

            1. I didn’t say they were. Those were the games that we could look forward to for about the first year of the gamecube. For Wii U we have NSMBU and Pikmin 3. So comparatively, the gamecube had a much better launch. Just looking at launch games alone even. The gamecube had Luigi’s Mansion and Melee. The Wii U has NSMBU.

  4. I think it’s great that Capcom is bringing MH3 Ultimate to Wii U and 3DS but I was hoping they would change their minds about RE6 and bring it to Wii U. I mean the system is perfect for playing horror games and it’s really disappointing that they are not even considering it for Wii U at this time.

    1. I was wondering the same, and maybe RE6 will come out with PC version. Tomb Raider is perfect as well to be on this system. We will have to wait then…

    2. aeoluslikestosuckoffmonkeydicksandthemonkeyisicydeadpeopleandtheyalsoseemtobeidiots

Resident Evil 6 isn’t a horror game anymore, it’s a game of ”find the ugly monster and kill him”.

      1. Well yeah RE4+5 kind of where but Revelations returned back to it’s original roots (kind of). Still I think the Wii U would give the game some extra exclusive features that would be fun to play. Like imagine if they included the Bio-Scanner from Revelations and put it in 6 for Wii U.

    3. Hold on one game at a time bro. Monster hunter is actually a bigger franchise in Japan than RES. Capcom can only develop so much at a time, we are getting res6 next year in march I feel it.

    1. aeoluslikestosuckoffmonkeydicksandthemonkeyisicydeadpeopleandtheyalsoseemtobeidiots

No, you are not the only one, I am CRAVING for a new Monster Hunter, it’s one of my favorite franchises!

    2. Ditto. Im curious what they’ll do with it, and if the 3DS and WiiU games are any different from each other. Otherwise i’ll just get the WiiU version

  6. I can see the complaint about some of these games beign former releases , but it’s seriously starting to look like Nintendo and friends are reaching out to ALL gamers. There’s even freaking Black Ops 2! I might freaking get that crap just because of Nintendo

  11. First off I would like to say superb blog! I had a quick question
in which I’d like to ask if you do not mind.
I was interested to find out how you center yourself
and clear your thoughts before writing. I’ve had difficulty clearing
my thoughts in getting my thoughts out. I do take pleasure in writing however it just seems like
the first 10 to 15 minutes are usually lost just trying to figure out how to begin.
    Any suggestions or tips? Cheers!
