Epic Mickey: The Power Of Illusion Video

There’s some new footage floating around online of the promising Epic Mickey: The Power of Illusion for the Nintendo 3DS. The footage showcases the Little Mermaid stages that feature in the game. The game also includes stages for more recent Disney movies such as Tangled, and older classics such as Snow White. The 2D platformer will launch on November 18th.

Here we have a gameplay video for Epic Mickey: Power Of Illusion on the Nintendo 3DS and to be honest I’m really liking what I am seeing.
In truth when this version of Epic Mickey 2 was announced I wasn’t intersted and wrote it off almost immeadiately because it wasn’t like anything the console version. I mean I understoof that the 3DS wasn’t the same powerhouse that the PS3 and Xbox 360 was and I also knew that the 3DS version of the game would be based on the 2D platforming game, Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse. But all in all I just didn’t think this game would hold a candle to the home console versions.
But upon seeing more recent footage of the game like this, I’m actually considering purchasing this game. In this video we see that the game looks absolutely incredible, it’s just oozing with fuild animation, vivid colours and character which feels so Disney-ish its insane. Seeing the whole Little Mermaid world with Ariel and Ursala in the background along with the animated backgrounds and foregrounds is so cool and nostalgic! I also really like how old school this game looks and feels, it’s really like the simple-yet-effective platformers from the past and it really does have my attention now. I’ll definitely be keeping my eye on Epic Mickey: Power of Illusion.
