Sniper Elite V2 has finally been officially confirmed for release on Wii U by Rebellion. The game has already been released on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC, and has received a fairly mediocre 67% on online review aggregator, Metacritic. 505 Games says that you can tag enemies and booby-traps, track enemy locations and activity and even monitor the blast radius of planted explosives by looking at the touchscreen. The game is due out on Wii U sometime in the Spring.

“Sniper Elite is just the kind of mature game that is perfect for the different mechanics of the Wii U. It’s been a challenge to get it right, but thanks to our team and the fantastic support of our partners at 505 Games we believe we’ve brought the unique gameplay to a whole new platform.”

  1. OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMeh.

  2. I bought a nintendo console to play funny and entertaining games. Not to play boring FPS and millitary/action games. Those games totally ruined this generation gaming console. Just look at what it did to Resident Evil :(.

    1. Third Person shooter actually and it was out ages ago. Its a remastering of an older game called Sniper Elite which was an awesome game

        1. Of course you should trust an average score of many reviewers. These are professionals who has it as a job to review games. Who would you trust? Your friends? Your family? Ha! No, reviews are the most legit way to find out if a game could be good or bad, and from the looks if it, this game might not be so good.

  4. It definitely sounds interesting. I’m glad that they’ve put time into crafting the game to be specifically tailored to the system. I might just have to take a look into it seeing as how I’ve more faith in 3rd person shooters than 1st.

    1. I don’t believe you and I are actually agreeing on a game and game mechanics. I too love third person shooters more that FPSs. Then the ww2 setting sold the deal. Cool here is to you Aeolus until we do battle on another topic.

    1. Thanks Eric for being a nintendo gamer that is with us on a Quest that shall see us put smiles on third party developers that matter. Here is to level 5 and being real developers and gamers.

  5. NINTENDO gamers you are going to support these small third party developers that have not only brought their software, but worked hard to improve the game mechanics and entertainment level by utilizing the Wii U’s gamepad. Do not be like some of our snobbish nintendo retired gamers ( emphasis on a minute ‘SOME’ ) that chose not to support brilliant classics like ‘Beyond Good and Evil.’
