Next Assassin’s Creed To Feature Pirates, Titled “Black Flag”?

skull_and_crossbone

Rumours have already begun to surface about the next Assassin’s Creed game. We found out yesterday that the next game in the series will feature a new protagonist, time period, and a new developer. The latest rumour suggests that the game will be titled Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag, and it will feature a pirate related storyline. Hopefully we won’t have to wait too long for all the juicy details to emerge.

“I was on a flight where the lady in the row in front of me was working on a powerpoint presentation on marketing strategies of several gaming titles. And one that stood out the most was AC4: Black Flags, aimed for release 2013 Holiday season according to her slide. It already had a cool looking logo for it.”

“Unfortunately I didn’t take any photo, just wanted to share it with all the AC fans, and give those who are trying to figure out the next story line a little hint.”

  1. Seems legit. A story from a Reddit user about someone on a plane with no proof she was working for Ubisoft in the first place.

      1. Yeah. And yet it’s still treated as if it’s solid news, worthy of being posted.

Even so, it’s not even a decent rumour.

    1. I don’t like pirates and I am not going to buy any ubi games after the rayman legends fiasco.

  2. Yea, no. Either way it’s unlikely Wii U will get it if they’re using the BGE2 engine next time around.

    1. You are wrong there because Gearbox is already making a UE4 game for Wii U so BGE2 engine will most likely work on the Wii U

    2. two things wrong with that. one, unreal 4 is confirmed to run on the wiiu. and 2 it’s ubisoft, lately they’ve shown to have quite the hardon for nintendo, even though they retardedly decided to puch the wii u version of rayman legends to release at the same time as gimped ports that the dev team doesn’t even want to make anyway.

      1. I’m officially done with Ubisoft titles….. Nintendo 1st and 2nd party games only from now on.

      2. I can understand being done with Ubisoft…but support 3rd parties that support the Wii U and Nintendo…if they are willing to take the leap that others seem too sheepish to make, then we as fans should be willing to support their software, as long as its a decent game and not shovelware of course.

      3. well im not done with ubisoft games, since there are some ubisoft games that ireally like, but i am pretty pissed about what they’re doing to rayman legends.

      4. “Nintendo 1st and 2nd party games only from now on.”

So because Ubisoft delayed a game, you want the Wii U to be like the Wii? No wonder third parties don’t head towards Nintendo anymore.

      5. Lol. I don’t even have a single 3rd party Wii or Wii U game. So ignoring ubisoft would be no sweat off my back.

  3. Only a rumor, but I can easily imagine a new pirate/assassin in the Caribbeans during the 18th century.

  4. Well knowing how many gamer love the battleship part on AC III, this is a pretty good way to take the franchise

  5. Wasn’t the last rumor about AC3 months before information on the setting/era was released, entirely opposite of what it actually turned out to be? lol

  6. Well, thats put more faith in the game, one of the few good things of AC3 was the ship missions, id love a pirate themed AC game.

  7. SHIVER ME TIMBERS, WALK OFF THE PLANK, YOU SCALLYWAG, ARRR

Sorry, I just had to let it loose in my system. But in all seriousness, if this rumor is actually true, I might buy the game, but considering ACIII ended up being a bust to me, I think I will have to wait and see.

  8. Ubisoft…………………………………………………………………………………………….

  9. Me too, I just bought Myst and I found graphic suck compare to Uncharted 3, I will never buy Ubi game!
