Stewart Copeland, the legendary drummer of the UK rock band The Police, who composed the magical soundtracks for the original Spyro the Dragon trilogy of games has confirmed in a recent interview that he is not involved in the new entry, Spyro A Realm Beyond. He says he has no hard feelings about not being included in the soundtrack. Spyro A Realm Beyond launches 2027.
“It happens that way. It’s a new generation. They want a new generation of sound and everything… they’ve got to modernise it. No harm, no foul.”
That’s actually a big downer. I can already hear the generic upbeat orchestral type music that will probably be in it instead.

So many games come out nowadays and the soundtracks to most of them just check a box. It’s okay, getting something that really stands out and is awesome is hard to do, on top of the million other priorities that go into making a big and good playing game
The reason for disappointment is because he had a unique musical style that made the spyro games sound unique. Think of any popular game series you like that had a consistent and unique sound to them from a specific composer and now imagine that a new game in that series won’t be getting the same treatment.
