Yesterday, we reported that Amazon company Lovefilm was to permanently halt its game rental service to new customers. However, it was still unknown as to whether its rental service would be completely stomped out to existing customers on a specific games package. Today, Eurogamer has reported that Lovefilm will be terminating their game rental services as of August 8 to both new and existing customers. Currently, we are yet to hear an official statement from the entertainment rental company detailing its reasons for doing so, although on their website’s FAQ page they said it is to focus solely on their strengths within the film and television services.
