Last month, a Pro Evolution Soccer European community manager claimed that PES 2014 won’t be releasing on Nintendo 3DS, due to poor sales of the hand-held console’s version of PES 2013. Well, it turns out a Nintendo 3DS version of the upcoming soccer simulation game is in the works. Also known as Winning Eleven 2014, PES 2014 is scheduled to arrive on Nintendo 3DS in Japan – alongside the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Portable versions of the game – in the fall. Whether the Nintendo 3DS version will be released outside the country has yet to be confirmed by the game’s publisher, Konami.
FIFA 14 is the only soccer game which would tempt me, but this is good for some I hope.
PES is good too.
I’m not sure if the 3DS version (or PSP version for that matter) will be reaching the West though.
The last press release I got on the game (Thursday) said the following:
“Today, Konami Digital Entertainment Inc. has announced the eagerly-awaited Pro Evolution Soccer (PES) 2014 will be available in retail stores nationwide in North, Central and South America on September 24, 2013 for PlayStation®3 and Xbox®360.”
No news on any other platforms.
