Former Metroid Prime Devs/Current Batman Blackgate Studio Releasing New Title For Holidays

The developer responsible for making Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate, Armature Studio, have announced that they will be creating a new title for the holiday season. Armature Studio just happens to be founded by members who formerly worked for Retro Studios, designers of the Metroid Prime series. Few details have emerged about the new title thus far, but Armature have revealed that it will not be a “phone game,” and that it will also not be an “Arkham game.” No word yet on whether Armature’s latest game will be available on Nintendo consoles, but with Blackgate’s looming release on 3DS, we are hoping that the studio remembers Nintendo fans this Christmas.

    1. I had a dream about a Metroid 3DS game last night that was made by Retro. It was third person like Other M but the style was more like Prime. It looked soooooooooo cool. Please make it happen Nintendo, I need my Metroid fix and a 3DS game will most likely come sooner than a Wii U one.

      1. I would like something that is sort of like a Metroid that plays a little like Kid Icarus Uprising, or a Metroid game that is like Prime Hunters, but a 2d or 2.5d Metroid game would be great too.

  1. Considering holiday season’s a month away, I wonder if they’re using the same engine for Blackgate to make that title.

    1. Indeed. Love it how they stick the finger up to mobile phone gaming :P

Now that’s the sign of real developers!

  2. Console Audience is most under 16 years old because lil Kids dont know the real deal,They cant Effort a gameing pc.Thats why they make Console Wars fucking stpuid PRicks.Bye i go now on SonyFanboy site and post the same stuff.HF day.

  3. I hope it’s a donkey kong game just to piss off the spoiled fanbase that was complaining about the dkctf reveal.

    1. That caught everyone off guard… no one guessed it was a dk game because Metroid hadnt seen a game in a while and neither did Star Fox… dk on the other hand had releases and saw a game on 3DS

  4. DK doesn’t have many core games in its library. We have dkc 1,2, and 3,64, dkcr, and dkctf. That is it. 3ds version doesn’t count because it is remake. If we do count the remake then, by this logic, we have 5 metroid prime games.(metroid prime trilogy for wii).

  5. But DK hasn’t had many releases, either. It was in the same boat as star fox. Many years passed by after dk64, and there was no proper game in the series in 10 years.
