This week’s Media Create sales figures are now in from Japan. After being boosted by the new and enticing hardware bundles last week, the Wii U has now dropped down to 17K. That’s a staggering drop from the previous week and puts it behind the PlayStation Vita. However, the Nintendo 3DS continues to do well with 81K units sold. Here’s the Japanese software and hardware charts.

When people say “Oh Mario 3D World is reviewing poorly, so my decision not to buy it is probably right” they get absolutely scolded for it- “Oh yeah, let a review make your decision for you instead of making up your own mind”. But if a PS game reviews poorly then it’s fine to change your opinion completely.
But based on history he is probably right not to buy it.

killzone is getting a average score knack…is getting very bad scores. So the only things sony fanboys have is killzone and a couple of indie games…AND SHOOTER!!!! I kept telling fanboys that its going to be just as bad when the wii u launched. I getting a ps4 later when KH 3 comes or my favorite sony ip. Anyone who falls for the hype for a console any console at launch is crazy fool. I waited till pikmin 3 came out, though waiting a bit longer would had save 50$ but I’m happy what i have now.
Me too. I’ll wait for KH3. I’ve actually never played Kingdom Hearts before so I’m excited for that. I’m also depleted on money because of all these games coming out for the Wii U and 3DS.

Yeah, wasn’t getting PS4 on launch anyways as Knack was the only game I wanted, but the score wasn’t very good. From what I played in the demo on the Norwegian gaming expo (SpillExpo), it was 7 or 8… Looks like I’m not getting a PS4 anytime soon!

Wiiu is great! Don’t worry about Nintendo, they will be fine as they have been n much worser situations than the one they’re in now.
3DS is very successfull and will continue to be. Wiiu might not set the world on fire, but it should sell ok when games like Mario kart and stuff arrive.
Not to mention it already has some fantastic games that are worth your time and money. NSMBU , MH3U , Pikmin 3 , etc etc

That’s true. I really can’t stand the Gamepad, but beyond that, it’s still a good console. Not much games yet, but by next year, there should be some good ones. I’d recommend waiting til Smash Bros is out to finally buy it

I did expect it to drop, and this wasn’t that bad, considering the rising in sales was from a Party game. I think Mario is going to make the console go boom in Japan!

It’s not really that bad, but this was kinda expected. Wii Party U was more like a temporary boost if anything. Now, I wanna see what sales will be like when SM3DW and ALBW come out. Those are the big guns for this holiday.
Those results could have been worse. I expected it to drop like a rock, as opposed to something between a feather and a rock. Expect the sales to jump again when SM3DW is released.
Yea ill pass on getting a Wii U this holiday. Nothing good on it. I’ll stick to 3ds for Nintendo games and Sony for hardcore games

He kind of does. I know what was going to happen to all three new consoles. The ps4 and xbox one will do the same as the wii u last year 3ds will be king during the holidays, and wii u will do great with Mario. They are advertising wii u too people misunderstanding what it is, which is good, though gamers will think its stupid but it does help, it helped with the 3ds when the confusion happen with it.
Soon the Wii U will rise and the Xbots will be destroyed…
I’m just waiting the time where Sony and Nintendo compete again in harmony like it used to be back then. But…, yeah, I’m still waiting for that… Is really sad that Microsoft itself doesn’t even want their gaming division (because of their losses in profit), If Xbox leaves the industry, I think everything will return back to normal, and peaceful days will arrive.

Well, I warned you guys that the rise would be very temporary. This will happen again for Mario and Smash Bros. The Wii U is not completely disgracing Nintendo, it’s just not doing so well. I am glad that the 3DS continues to smash all who gets in its way. Now that’s a console!!
Ignoring that 38,000 more folks bought Wii Us in one week. Therefore your rise will decrease slower and slower and slower because the install base is increasing bigger and bigger. And they are finally advertising it. Unlike before before Pi kmin 3 launched.
17k is still way better than 2k, The Wii U still needs an injection of games before its going to shift large numbers. Fortunately Mario 3D World is here soon.
