Nintendo Force writer Emily Rogers has been in contact with Ubisoft. She says that the developer and publisher still refused to comment on the Wii U version of Watch Dogs when directly asked about it. Rogers hopes that we should hear more news on the fate of the Wii U version during Ubisoft’s Q3 results which take place next month.
I was in contact with Ubisoft this morning. They won’t comment on Wii U Watch_Dogs. Ubi Q3 results in Feb, hopefully we hear something then
with no gamepad functions its really not even worth playing on the Wii U because the ps4 will have the superior graphics
TBH, I think the only thing they will use the gamepad for will be to display the map and input codes for hacking. It’s a shame that a device with so much potential has primarily been reduced to being used for such rudimentary functions.
Which is really all it should be used for. If Nintendo wants to use it in other ways, that’s fine, go ahead, but third-party developers shouldn’t feel obligated to do anything more than put the map on the touchscreen.

Ubisoft wants it to be an issue. Preorders spiked over 700% on amazon alone after word of wiiU version being tossed. It’s good publicity and raises awareness for wiiU console owners. Certainly doesnt help nintendo with people who are on the fence about purchasing a console seeing all these games gimped/canceled.

I already tried, there is no reasoning with his childish “me me” attitude towards the Wii U. He thinks multiplatform games should not go to the Wii U because people should buy the prettiest versions on PS4, not realizing that not everyone wants to waste money on more than one platform. Anyone who knows anything about computers knows that anything is scalable and optimization is key. These graphics whores can’t even tell the hames apart, like Call of Duty and Assassin’s Creed comparisons, yet they still believe the Wii U can’t handle a similar gaming experience.

But heres the thing, i own most nintendo consols(theyve been easy to find every few years, im not rolling in money at all) and i can say that i am interested in games outside of nintendo, however the nintendo games are my priority. Now i dont exactly mean i dont like the other systems but i dont have nearly enough money to blow on an xbox one or playstation 4. I mean i could barely buy a wii u. Anyways aside from that, i do like other games and you could say its my fault for buying a nintendo consol primarily but in reality most consol gamers generally have one of the three. Not because theyre fanboys but because 400+ is alot to spend. Yeah i can afford a game every now and then as they come out but multiplats make it easier to afford. Im not buying a ps4 for KH3 even though id love to own that game.

No Ubisoft should be putting the effort in to making the gamepad a unique experience as much as they should focus on making the best game they can on all systems they release it on because I remember a time when devs didn’t worry about quality control and just wanted quanity over quality and it led to the collapse of the video game industry. In this day and age devs are a dime a dozen and refusing to optimize any of your product shows you don’t belong in a creative industry

3. Pre orders went up 700% after the rumor went out. The pre order number is around 22,000 for the wii u.

So far I know the game is still in pre-order in U play and by all account they should have enough indication to see if they are going to sell the game or not. Saying that the game has already been developed for Wii U and it would be a waste of money not to release it. especially when I recall Ubisoft tell us it’s not an hard job to port a game to Wii U. Personally I will buy the Wii U version and if I want better graphic or option I don’t have on the wii U I will buy the PC version which will be £50 cheaper 1 year after it has been released. I will not get the PS3 or PS4 cause they will put a trophy where you need to buy the DLC (hello batman Arkam city and God of war ascension)
