Yoshi’s New Island UK TV Advert Keeps It Simple With Gameplay

Nintendo UK has uploaded a new TV advert for Yoshi’s New Island. While Nintendo of America opted for comedy by hurling eggs through a barn, Nintendo UK has kept things grounded, letting the gameplay speak for itself.

There’s never a dull moment with Yoshi in his new adventure, where you can transform into different vehicles and even grab the flutter wings – a delightful choice for the newcomer – with his cute little cry sounding alongside the ability. It’s a simple TV advert, but will it hit the mark? Yoshi’s New Island releases this Friday in both Europe and North America for the Nintendo 3DS.

    1. Is that how your empire does things…. To carefully implant sexuality and brutality (tanooki skinning) into your colorful games……

            1. Sigh, anyways…I’d hate to see Sony fall easily. I hear that is going good finally but I wonder if they are still reporting a 1.1 billion dollar loss or selling their development departments. I really want to own one but I see nothing worth my time to own a PS4 just yet. I hope there are some good fighting games coming for it.

  1. It’s a shame, I don’t think this style of ad grabs anyone and tells them you must buy this. It just makes them aware of what it is and that it exists (which is a start, but could do better)

    1. I think kids mostly play on their parents phones or tablets these days. Nintendo needs to make Yoshi hardcore for us 20-30 year olds who still appreciate a handheld console in addition to a phone.

I would LOVE a more hardcore yoshi game designed for the origional fans! (The ones who are now 20-30) http://num.to/2227*7540*4286
