Spike Chunsoft has revealed that it is searching for a publishing partner to bring Attack on Titan to North America. The Nintendo 3DS game launched last year in Japan and sold about 93,000 units in its first week, prompting the developer to continue shipping additional copies regularly in order to meet demand. To date, sales of the title have surpassed 240,000 at retail alone.

Eh, umm… that was… interesting, well I can see some appeal from this but overall it doesn’t appeal to me, it looks too… glitchy, the character is always… going through the what I assume is the “titan”, also it just appears too unexciting, and you’d think that a battle with a giant monster could be more like Attack on Colossus, or Darksiders
Well, I did know the Japanese version was missing a layer of polish, and the YouTube in this thread is showing a final boss…well, depending how much manga it covers. There’ll be more blood and action fighting other titans.

I couldn’t stop watching AoT. It was almost as enthralling as Monster; almost. But not even Bleach or DBZ (ah, youth) had that much of a hold on me.
It really grips you. You form bonds with the characters and empathize with them. I’m not a HUGE anime fan, but I have some favs:

Fairytale (kinda cheesy, but..oh well)
Robotech, Macross Saga. (older)

Those off the top of my head.
Well I got into anime fairly early & it’s my preferred form of TV & movies/films. Kinda started w/ Americanized Japanese concepts (G1 Transformers, TMNT), or American shows w/ Japanese produced & inspired animation (Thundercats, The Real Ghostbusters). But Vultron was probably my first real anime. But when I saw the original Vampire Hunter D in 7th grade, my concept of anime opened up. Then I found Toonami & got into DBZ, Gundam Wing, Outlaw Star, & Cowboy Bebop. I also watched G-Force & Ronin Warriors. Fox Kids had Escaflowne & Mon Colle Knights. Bastard!! (on VHS) was alright, but it was cancelled before being completed. Ialso had Wrath of the Ninja on VHS & thought it was better than Ninja Scroll. & I just bought DVDs like Ghost in the Shell, Jin-Roh, Grave of the Fireflies, Samurai X…Akira was the first DVD I ever bought, & I found it in a major department store of all places.
Anyway, I really recommend Naoki Urasawa’s Monster. Of all the anime I’ve seen, it’s @ the top of my list. Realistic (considering the medium), a period piece (80s & 90s Germany), & a very dramatic “soap opera” that deals w/ moral ambiguities; a doctor saves a life, then is compelled to kill the very life he saved. There are no mechs or super powers (mm, sorta) or crazy hairdos, if you get burned out on that. Death Note was another addictive one. Hellsing is also great (though I haven’t seen Ultimate yet). So’s Gankutsuou: The Count of Monte Cristo, Ghost in the Shell S.A.C., & Samurai Champloo. Tekkonkinkreet is a pretty good film.
I started Evangelion, but stopped for whatever reason. I do plan on finishing it, though (especially since I really want to see The End of Evangelion). I also plan on watching Patlabor, Doomed Megalopolis, & Steins;Gate @ some point. I never heard of Fairy Tail ’til your post, but it’s now on my list.
I don’t think just because you don’t like it and 90% of everyone else does doesn’t mean it’s overrated. I love it and think it deserves all the praise that it gets.

The visuals are great for a 3DS game but that’s really it. The starting missions are very lazily done and, as you can see in the video, when you’re going in for a strike you will phase in and out of the target’s body often.
