Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley Announced For Nintendo 3DS

Natsume has revealed the first of its three new Nintendo titles promised leading up to E3. Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley will be the next title in the farming-simulation franchise and is due for launch on the Nintendo 3DS later this year. And it won’t be long before we get a sneak peek of the game as it will be showcased at E3 next week in booth 615 – presumably along with the publisher’s other two Nintendo titles.

The game will also be one of two Harvest Moon titles gracing the Nintendo 3DS this year, with XSEED’s Story of Seasons – known in Japan as Harvest Moon: Connect to a New Land – arriving in North America. Natsume boasts a fully customisable world in a spectacular three-dimensional setting for Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley. The publisher’s CEO and president Hiro Maekawa said the following in support of the game:

“Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley is truly evolving the franchise. Hardcore fans will love it, players who haven’t played a Harvest Moon game in a while will want to try it out, and new players will be introduced to the unique and charming world that is Harvest Moon. But the incredibly exciting thing that really elevates the game is that while it does get back to what everyone loves about the early games, it also innovates in a way that no Harvest Moon game ever has.”

  1. In the last natsume post, people didn’t think they were going to be harvest moon. We’re getting one for the wiiu for sure!!!:D<3

    1. Well no people were saying there will be no “Harvest Moon” as in the main series made by Marvelous AQL…this is interesting but a bit scary too.

      1. Would really love that and I’d definitely get it too. The last Harvest Moon I played on a Playstation platform was on PS2. Back to Nature on PS1 is my all time favorite though. Man, good times.

  2. Can’t wait to see some footage of it. Been a fan of the Harvest Moon since the very first entry of the series, so I’m actually looking forward to this.

    1. The central time is only 2 hours ahead of the pacific time, if you say 9AM PT then it’ll be 11AM CT, if you’re talking about the US

      1. Yeah that much more sense, if only they made a sequel to Super Mario Sunshine or 64…we can only dream..

  4. Really strange that there are two Harvest Moon titles coming out. I wonder if this is something Natsume created themselves. It’s got me wondering, that’s for sure. I’ll probably pick up both, especially since my job has me on overnights and I get to play 3DS and Vita most of the night.
