Nintendo Japan has announced that Metroid Zero Mission will be making its way onto the Wii U Virtual Console next week. The Game Boy Advance title was chosen as the 9th best Game Boy Advance game by popular online gaming publication, IGN.

A Metroid reboot? Fuck no! I don’t care how bad a lot of people think of Other M. It isn’t a good enough of a reason to reboot the entire franchise. We’ll leave those cop outs to the Turok, Tomb Raider, & Devil May Cry developers. A game that simply retcons the events of Other M, or a remake of Other M, is good enough. On a side note, I wouldn’t mind a 3DS remake of Metroid II: Return of Samus.

I loved this remake/expansion of the original Metroid. It needs to come to North America & Europe’s Wii U some time soon.
