Legendary games developer Shigeru Miyamoto and Nintendo Treehouse’s very own Bill Trinen were spotted checking out the revolutionary Oculus Rift VR unit at this week’s E3 event. It would certainly be interesting to hear Miyamoto’s verdict on the new technology.
Thanks, Pedro
Always a good thing to check out our enemies/rivals…
occulous isnt for any specific device. its like trying out a wireless controller or an hd display. lunatic.
OMG Shut up, the only ones who considers other consoles/companies enemies is you and the other retarded fanboys
Another one taking games too seriously…
This world really is beyond help…
I know you need help, but just chill out
Me chill out?, says the one who complains about me for no reason…
why is that always your go to responce? its hypocritical. your roleplaying as a commander of a video game companie’s army. pls go.
How about you go?…
I’m not the one having problems with people in here for idiotic reasons…
actually i am not the only one. and on my and their behalf i would like to politely ask you to stop roleplaying in the comments section of this site. we dont want to be a part of it.
Then stop talking to me?…
Retards…
Keep on what you’re doing, Quadraxis. Some of us know you are just having fun. These people whining about it obviously act like it’s SOOOOOO hard to ignore you. lol
um oculus isnt even in competition with nintendo thats only sony and project morpheus :P
I don’t know why I keep connecting it to the Sonyans when it’s owned by Facebook…
Although I hate Facebook anyway but thanks for clarifying it unlike the other boring ones…
yeah no problem it will be competition if nintendo makes a virtual boy 2 :P
Lmao that wako always calls nintendo our empire lol it’s really sad some of these people on this site need lifes referring to a gameing console has there empire what losers like I am a Nintendo fan but I dont say dumb shit like Nintendo is our empire it’s really gayy
It’s not that we have no life. We merely choose to have many!
I agree with your post, I’m a nintendo fan but seriously role playing and pretending your a commander of nintendo our implying you are part of nintendo is silly.
i get it, you love nintendo, i love nintendo, even the haters and trolls of this site love nintendo. . Or they wouldn’t be on this site, but but why role play and pretend to be someone you’re not on a forum? Wouldn’t you much rather be a racer tossing shells, or a captain of a crew searching for resources and alien life? Well you can and it’s fun and better than doing it on a boring comment section of. Here, just go and pick up your games they really miss you.
As for me I’ll be going back to kilos on my xl pikachu 3ds. And please know I’m not hating, but as a nintendo fan, get n our get out.
Did u get ur wiiu yet
This is a good thing…
Miyamoto’s response will be exactly what he says about all of his competitors products: “Meh, Nothing special.”
Because he is normally right about certain things.
actually it something but you nintendrones think nintendo are the true innovators lol.
more innovative than the kinect!!!
Yes because the Kinect was SOOOOOO innovative… even though Sony and many other companies even back during the 1980’s did it WAY before Microsoft…. just saying…
Who wouldn’t want to check it out, that thing looks very cool.
He loved our Morpheous Technology
You don’t even know how to spell “Morpheus” right xD
Not news. How do you go to a game show and not check out other stuff…
it’s not a big deal, he is just checking out the new technology, doesn’t mean he is planning anything special
Miyamoto is cool. I love the fact that the guy has been developing new StarFox game 6 years and everyone was like,”Nintendo cares only about Mario and casuals, StarFox is dead like F-Zero and Metroid” LMAO. Miyamoto always suprises.
I would not say it’s rivalry. Without other companies it would be impossible try new things.
Nintendo needs to buy the occulus rift and use it for certain wii u games. At the very least nintendo should make their own version.
They did, and it was a failure
besides, Sony has already dived into using the Rift technology
It only was a failure because it technically was incomplete.
That, and the fact that technology was obviously not as advanced back then.
Maybe we will see a partnership between oculus and nintendo to support few nintendo games, like metroid maybe? this ony supports PC right now but who is to say it won’t expand.
oculus was already bought by FACEBOOk….:(
Doesn’t mean it’s not impossible – It’s still an independantly-operated company, despide being owned by Facebook, as Facebook’s basically taking a laissez-faire style leadership over them.
Mr Shigueru’s veredict:
“Virtual boy was better”
Oculus Rift Support on Wii U ?
http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=PxSnJiRCMeM hopefully he wasn’t one of these people
Wario Woods 2?
What these guys have felt when they saw Miyamoto wanted to try his device?
Treehouse’s JC Rodrigo is also there at the back
What IS this device he”s trying out?
“Oh my god he’s playing this thing, he must be making games on it.” You think if he’s playing the PS4, we’ll be seeing Mario games on it? Fucking idiots.
Miyamoto looks like my grandma!

It actually makes sense that a legendary figure like him would actually want to try out the Oculus Rift – the device’s so revolutionary and so promising that they managed to hire employees who are also big names in the game industry, like a Valve programmer and the founder of ID Software.
Wii u support would be nice especially with the Wiimote and nunchuck. personally I plan on buying one and a steam box as soon as possible.
Meh. I don’t care for virtual reality. The 3DS’s Augmented Reality is good enough for me. Virtual reality is one thing I hope Nintendo never uses. If they do, I hope it’s completely optional for any games that use it.
