Japanese Super Smash Bros 3DS Demo Version Will No Longer Be Available After October 31

Nintendo of Japan has recently tweeted that the Super Smash Bros 3DS demo will no longer be available after October 31. In an interesting twist, many fans believe the demo – which saw fighters such as Mario, Pikachu, Villager, Mega Man and Link playable – will receive an update on the back of the latest patch update released today, which rectified a few online stability issues.Though whether this is the case, we’ll simply have to wait and see.

For now, Nintendo are advising Japanese 3DS users to download the demo between now and October 31, if they’d like to experience the game. You can view the company’s official word in the tweet above and the translation below from NeoGAF.

“The availability of the demo for ‘Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS’ on the Nintendo eShop will end on October 31st. For those interested, please download it during the availability period.”

    1. Of course, the demo will have to be a lot better than the 3DS demo, though. Maybe instead of limited characters with access to only Smash mode, the demo actually lets you play the full game for 5 minutes. Once the 5 minutes are up, boom! The demo ends. I miss demos like those.
