Nintendo’s European eShop is kick-starting the new year in style with a number of discounts from Thursday, January 1. And though the rewards programme concludes on December 31 for deluxe Wii U owners, there’s no time to feel blue with special offers on Shovel Knight, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate and New Super Mario Bros. U until January 8.
To celebrate the arrival of 2015, Nintendo of Europe are hosting a “Mario Bros.’ New Year’s Offer” for the Wii U, which includes both New Super Mario Bros. U and New Super Luigi U for €59.99 / £49.99 instead of the usual combined price at €79.98 / £67.98. While those who prefer to explore the plains in Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate can do so with a neat 50 per cent discount from Capcom, making it just €29.99/£24.99 rather than the usual €59.99 / £49.99 on both Wii U and 3DS.
But if a platform adventure is more to your taste, Shovel Knight will also be discounted for a limited time on Wii U and 3DS. Users can download the game at €9.99/£8.66 instead of the usual €14.99 / £12.99. Let us know if you’ll be picking up any of the games on offer this week in the comment section below. Uhm, not being funny or nuffin’, but that’s it? Jeez, this is one of the worst weeks in some time, and that’s saying something. It’s the holiday season, Nintendo. It’s almost as if you don’t want our money.

Bring this to the USA and Canada!!! DO it! I desperately want New SUper MArio Bros U and New SUper Luigi Bros U (I couldn’t get the bundle and had to get a 3d world bundle) but I held off buying it over christmas because I was hoping for just this sort of sale. Make it a reality and you have one definite buy right here!
Hmm, i have 13€ on my account. If I buy Shovel Knight, I will have 3€… will that be enough to buy Mewtwo later on? Hmmm…
