This week’s Media Create sales are now in from Japan. In a quiet week for new software, Yokai Watch 2 continues to dominate the chart as it has done for the past few weeks, with Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire following closely in second. Other 3DS titles including Super Smash Bros and Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate continue to shift double figures, while sales for the remainder of the top 20 scrape together ever-decreasing numbers.
Hardware sales see the New Nintendo 3DS XL topping the chart yet again, though only bring in 30k in comparison to last week’s 76k. 3DS sales, then, total 57k this week – around two-thirds less from the console’s numbers over the Christmas period. The Wii U also suffers a considerable dip, taking in 10k this week, down from 30k the week prior. You can check out the top 20 software and hardware charts for Japan below.

10k for Wii U will probably be the limit by this point; unless Zelda manages to perform a miracle I think it’s probably safe to assume the Wii U won’t reach the desired selling milestone.
It was selling 40k during the whole holidays there and without new releases fanboy.
Smash released just before the holydays. What are you talking about?
No duh, during holiday season everything sells like crazy… even ur mom lol
