Whether helping to whip up a culinary storm in the kitchen, or nurturing a beautiful garden full of flowers, vegetables and fruit for your animal friends, Mama is back and it’s time to get creative in Cooking Mama: Bon Appétit! and Gardening Mama: Forest Friends, with both games releasing for Nintendo 3DS and 2DS systems, in stores and on Nintendo eShop, on 6th March.
Nothing tastes quite like Mama’s home cooking, and in Cooking Mama: Bon Appétit!, it’s down to you – with assistance from Mama – to perfect recipes and unlock new ones to test your culinary skills to the limit. To succeed, utilise the Nintendo 3DS stylus to skilfully craft a recipe, whether an exotic dish or a sweet treat, and acquire gold medals for your performance.
Over 60 recipes feature in the game, and away from the kitchen additional gameplay modes such as ‘Let’s Help Mama!’ and ‘Let’s Help Harvest’ present a wide range of fun minigame challenges to test your skills and reflexes. For those looking to share the cooking fun with friends, the game features Download Play functionality for between two and four players – using just one copy of the game* – to compete against one another in 15 minigames unlocked right from the start. Additionally, for those looking to personalise their setup, exclusive items will be available via SpotPass after the game’s release.
In Gardening Mama: Forest Friends, wield your gardening tools with your Nintendo 3DS stylus and grow more than 50 different plants in the garden of your dreams. Together with Mama, turn an empty piece of land into a garden brimming with fresh and healthy produce, completing fun minigames while planning your garden strategy and delivering your crops to 6 different shops owned by your animal friends.
Expanding your garden by earning rewards such as new varieties of seeds, flower bulbs and trees, you can help your friends grow their businesses by selling specific crops to keep their customers coming back for more. As each of the shops rises in rank, you can earn shopping tickets that can be spent on one of over 100 items to decorate your garden, such as fences, fountains and even pets. So to help your woodland friends and create your perfect garden in the process, make sure to plan ahead when choosing the best crops for success! Exclusive items for your garden will also be made available via SpotPass after launch, so keep an eye out for further fun customisation ideas.

more cooking mama spin off eah?
mea well as long as its not more baby-sitting mama bullcrap x-x
also is that an ocarina on the blue paint stuff?
It does seem to be a wooden ocarina, but its probably only a decoration or part of a mini game. I love the Mama series, but Babysitting Mama was complete and utter crap.
How so? :O
The game came with a plush baby doll that you used to put the Wii remote in. Not only was the gameplay terrible, but the motion control was horrible, and the baby would whine the entire game (through the wiimote) until you finally managed to create whatever motion they asked of you. The game would not have been so bad if the motion control was better synced, the gameplay wasn’t so boring, and the doll wasn’t super ugly. I was about 10 at the time where I had this game, worst game ever.
Wow. I never knew it was that bad. Personally, I don’t really care about the Mama series, but I did play the demo of Gardening Mama 2 and I thought it was alright. Kind of addictive actually. Haha.
Anytime, the Mama series has always been a relaxing genre for me. Whenever I want some light gaming, I go and play a Mama game. But I’m also a girl so they probably appeal to me a little more. 😗
I suppose you’re right. If I had to get a Mama game, I think I’d probably choose Cooking Mama. Although, I don’t really think I’d buy it because it’s a relaxing game. More so because it’s hilarious. Playing as Mama with her adorable face flipping eggs and listening to her funny voice about how well I’m cooking even though I cook pretty terrible in real life. Lol.
Hey Hollow are you free right now? Im about to play mk8 so I thought I would let you know.
I don’t have my Wii U. I thought I already told you it was getting repaired? :P I only have my 3DS. I’m not doing anything right now so I guess I am free. I was actually playing Smash Bros online not too long ago and that lag is terrible. I lost a lot of For Glory matches because of that. :(
Yeah I had just remembered. Im free so I’m up to anything. I have every game you have (although Im behind in Sapphire) so just tell me which one you want to play.
Hm… Do you want to play Animal Crossing? :P
Sure, I’ll get it now.
I’ll have my gate open then. XD
That was awesome, DeJ! You have a nice AC village. And those were some good Smash Bros battles. Hope we can do this again sometime. 😊
Sure, of course. I had fun too. And sorry for some of my battle mishaps, babysitting, Smashing, and lag is not a good combo. But glad you had fun as much as I did though! *\^.^/*
You tried to put me to sleep as Jigglypuff and ended up getting a taste of the aura. XD
Yeah, I should’ve calculated your position more so I could’ve put you to sleep. Close battles though, although I killed myself quite a few. ^^;
You’re pretty good at Smash Bros. You gave me some real trouble on some of those battles. And I thought it was hilarious when Captain DeJ came out to fight me. XD
Thanks, I thought I was pretty horrible. I don’t play Smash much so that’s why. Don’t talk about lil mii, puncher Hollow is a really good fighter though. Btw if you ever need a “town donation” I don’t mind I have plenty of bells…. :P
Don’t worry. You will get better. :) And maybe in the future after you beat ORAS And get your perfect team, I can see just how good of a Pokemon trainer you are. I didn’t start playing Pokemon until X and Y so you might have an advantage there. ;) Thanks for that generous offer too. I’m too lazy to go to the island. XP
I’m a great Pokemon trainer, I just haven’t leveled up my team. Although I have X of you even need immediate proof of that I can show you. And the island is the most fun and profitable. Get off your lazy horse and make your town beautiful. XP
Uh… Well, I hope I can beat you. Lol. I’m no expert at Pokemon so I wouldn’t be surprised if you just utterly destroy me. :P And I do go to the island. But not that much. Because it’s so boring and tiring. Uggggghhhhh…… 😴
I suppose it can be repetitive, but it is the best way to get money.I suppose I’ll go easy when we play Pokemon. :p Maybe anyway.
No. Don’t do that. I want to earn my victory. XD
Alright then, no holding back! ^0^
You could also trade with me if you’d like. Since you have the opposite version. :)
You’re right, if you need a exclusive X/sapphire pokemon just ask me. Still need to finish Sapphire though, I spend more time catching Pokemon than battling them.
Nvm I forgot your Wii I was out. My bad. :P
Damn, this franchise is still going wild.
