      1. I think I prefer the smash one as well because I dislike that red stand, even though I like the super mario ones pose, the smash one seems more detailed.

        1. I also dislike the goofy face on the SM Bowser. Smash Bowser looks more demonic. The red stands don’t really bother me that much. It just wouldn’t fit in as well with my Smash amiibos if I decided to collect them, but no biggie.

          1. That too, since I am collecting them and making a nice little art piece on my wall with them hanging. Those boxes would throw everything off, since they’re different from the current ones.

To be honest, I don’t like much of the poses for these Mario Party ones, the only one I’d consider is Toad. All the other ones look better in their Smash versions.

    1. Smash Bowser all the way, I don’t like the red stands either. I just picked one up today and he looks mean, he’s pretty nice too probably one of my favorite Amiibo’s so far.

I got Samus, Link, Fox, Bowser, Captain Falcon, Shulk, Meta Knight and Lucario so far. The only damn one I missed out on is Rosalina, but I’ll be damned if I don’t get her on the 1st.

The others I want for the time being are Ike, Sheik, Sonic, Charizard, Robin, Lucina and Ness. After that I think I’m done with amiibo unless they release a Zero Suit Samus. I’ve bought more than I initially planned as it is.

      -_-

They’re just so hard to resist.

      1. Cool collection! I’d love to get my hands on a lucario. I just got yoshi today! I’ve got villager, wii fit trainer, DK, Diddy, Luigi, pikachu, captain falcon, and i have mega man and sonic pre ordered. fingers crossed my order doesn’t get cancelled! I know it, the benefits from these things aren’t even that great but I’m still buying them because I love having my favorite characters as figurines. I think once I get a ganondorf, charizard and pacman, I can break this hold amiibo have on me!

  1. I think this is a mistake by Nintendo. Who wants to buy the same Amiibo over again, just with a different stance? How ridiculous. I seriously doubt they will have success selling this set. Also it kind of takes away from the collectability of the other ones in a way. Nintendo needs to be careful here. They shouldn’t try and sell us the same Amiibos over again just because they happen to be standing in a different pose.

    1. They’re selling these so you won’t have to delete the data from an amiibo all the time… Like if you want to use your Smash amiibo for Mario Party 10 you’ll have to delete the data on it (if it has any). Not sure if exactly if Mario Party 10 only reads the amiibo or if you actually have to save data on it though.

    2. Nah people will still buy them plus you can only have 1 game save on each amiibo. I plan to get all 6 of the Mario series, I think these will be more collectable because there’s less than the Smash Bros set.

  2. These look pretty cool! I think I prefer these over the Smash Bros. ones. I just like Mario’s design better and they don’t look all realistic. But the Smash ones are a bit detailed for sure/

  3. Oh, hmm. Damn it would be awesome if Toad was a secret character is Smash Bros. It would be awesome, and he could be super fun to play as.

  4. So all the news about the mario amiibo being exclusive was complete hogwash.

Tbh i kinda expected that. You cant be seriously claiming that nintendo would limit their most iconic character amiibo for an upcoming game rofl.
