We all know just how popular Amiibo have become since their launch back in November, now we’ve got specific sales figures for the interactive figures. Nintendo has announced today that they’ve shipped 5.7 million Amiibo figures. They’ve proven to be most popular in the United States and Canada. On a side note Nintendo president Satoru Iwata noted that, “It is difficult for us to promise to continuously ship all of the amiibo figures. We will, however, consider additional production in cases such as when an amiibo figure sells out shortly after launch, an amiibo is indispensable to play a certain game, and when we receive a lot of requests for an amiibo figure from consumers and retailers.”

  1. Why can’t I have Shulk, Marth, Ike, Pit, Little Mac, Captain Falcon, Villager, Mega Man, Sonic,or the Wii Fit Trainer? Is it because I live in Canada? Clearly Nintendo knows the sell through rates. What is their fucking problem?

    1. and why r u complaining? i cant buy anything because i live in Brazil and since the tax is too high for anything, Nintendo doesnt export to Brazil anymore

  2. Hm.. Marth, WFT and Villager aren’t the best sellers in America?!!!! Is it maybe because Nintendo sent only 3 of them to one GameStop in Alaska?!!!

  3. it’s not nintendo’s fault people want too buy Shulk, Marth, Ike, Pit, Little Mac, Captain Falcon, Villager, Mega Man, Sonic,or the Wii Fit Trainer just too scalp them. those amiibo probably have the least games to support. Really think about the rich amiibo support Pac-Man is going to offer,or Pit and Wii fit trainer

    1. Uhm it is their fault, seeing as how they’re too stupid to simply restock the silly things instead of “discontinuing” them?

        1. The scalpers would be powerless if Nintendo stocked them properly. The only reason the scalpers are succeeding is because there are so few of them. Do you see them scalping Mario? No. Because Nintendo made a shit-ton of them.
It is in fact, Nintendo’s fault

  4. Those details show just how different each market is, I personally think Kirby is awesome which reflects in JP, however I would’ve thought it’d be higher in EU

I certainly hope that this will never happen.. I don’t want to have anything to do with Amiibos so better don’t force me to buy them because then I simply won’t buy the associated game…
