Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D Update Now Available In All Regions, Plus Patch Notes

The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D update can now be downloaded from the Nintendo 3DS eShop in all regions. Following its early release last week in Europe, all users now have access to the patch, which includes various bug fixes – such as the sword glitch after playing at Honey and Darling’s shop – and extra game stability. Nintendo of America has detailed exactly which issues have been addressed in its official patch notes, which you can view below. As per usual, update data will be saved on your current SD or micro SD card and any previous save data will remain intact. To update your game, simply follow the on-screen directions within the Nintendo 3DS eShop.

Update Details:
Ver.1.1. [Released 2/27/2015]

Fixed the issue in which an “ERROR!****” message appears in-game.
Fixed the issue in which users become unable to swing their swords after playing at Honey and Darling’s Shop.
Adjustments have been made to make for a more fun gaming experience.

    1. this already existed. you look at the bulletin board just inside the entrance and it lists all the fish you’ve caught.

If Nintendo had put their foot down and released the 64DD with a few minor fixes they would’ve been on the top of the game.

Don’t you dare say *sales figures are up* because sales figures don’t tell you that people who are ignorant will buy a Nintendo Wii and return it or hardly ever use it except once in a blue moon when family comes over.

Nintendo has catered to the new generation of kids screwing the previous one but I don’t blame Nintendo. I blame the corporate think tanks in charge who only see money in it from initial sales then they hit a slump though Super Mario 3D World is a step in the right direction based on what I have seen in action.

The Nintendough Dee S and 3 Dee S is their only way they are staying afloat due to the unique games with the Stylus which I find better then the crappy Wii Mote.

If Nintendo had stuck to the 64 Disk Drive they would’ve been top over Play Station and heck maybe Nintendo would’ve signed a deal with them so Sonic could come on over.

Zelda Ocarina of Time and Banjo Kazooie were meant to use the features of the 64 Disk Drive but when it was canceled had to quickly remove stuff but if you are an experienced game sharker you will find trace remains of their plans.

A lot of the N64 mysteries I believe are part of the canned Disk Drive development including the infamous Stop n Swop.

When BK and Donkey Kong 64 was being made there was till hope for the 64 Disk Drive to be released in North America/Europe which is also why I think DK64 was so freaking large! They had plans to swap data back and forth with DK64 as a *middle man* if that makes any sense.

I love the small details both MM and Wind Waker have. In MM for example you can use the Song of Double Time to skip ahead or the Song of Time Inverted to slow down the rate of time.

Also the buildings have clocks that actually tell the game’s time with the red dot showing the hour and a little arrow on the clock when it meets with the red dot a new hour has passed.

The interior clocks also has the geography of Termina on them where if the sun is setting the red dot will be over the *ocean* drawing.

I actually don’t need the in game *timer* and wish there was a way to hide it so I only use it in a temple where there is no clocks or sun angle to judge by.

Wind Waker also had a lot of small details such as when Link comes out of the water it shows him soaking wet dripping behind him for a little bit. If they had more time they could’ve actually made the effects be permanent where if you mess something up it’s done unless you do a new clean file.

I like how the Forsaken Fortress has drawings on the walls such as a map telling you where you are and diagrams of the search lights in the cargo bay. I noticed these details the second time thru the Forsaken Fortress when I no longer had to hide in barrels though even the first time I saw the map kiosks every once in a while.

I also think the *Da Dant* creatures are pretty good I don’t know what to call them.

The problem is these corporate think tanks *MS* *Sony* and Nintendo they only look at brief headlines instead of the finer details so if a writer of the game review site is biased for or against these companies THEY only look at the top headlines instead of what is exactly right or wrong with the games/devices in the finer print.

If an article is *The Sequel to Halo arrives in stores successfully* the company Bungee would think “Oh they must like this game!” but what the writer really means is that the game made it to the stores good but the game actually might suck.

Also a writer that hates Halo would say “The Sequel to Halo has failure written all over it! The cat is out of the bag!” so instead of fixing what’s wrong the company will think. “Nobody likes this game so let’s can it!” and make something stupid if they have no imagination.

An honest writer would write something like “The Sequel to Halo flies across the world to save the day but is it the game it’s hyped up to be? Find out more by clicking here!”

See the differences in the headlines? If more game review sites were like the third honest writer we would have companies stop making stupid choices against their own self interest like with what happened to the Sim City franchise and how EA killed it.

I was one who personally liked Wind Waker since there is a lot of small details in the game like in Forsaken Fortress actually has a map kiosk and has diagrams of the search lights on the walls. I had fun looking at the Fortress details on the walls the second time thru when I wasn’t hiding in barrels.

though I think they should’ve used realistic graphics and waited another year to release it having it patched up. Nintendo has no one to blame but themselves for panicking.

BTW. I made up those headlines just to show how site writers can make biased headlines for or against a company with the third headline being the more honest one without taking sides so people can decide for themselves if it’s the right game for them.

    2. I agree, but completely disagree about the Wind Waker graphics. I thought the art style was beautiful, and perfectly suited the game. It wouldn’t have the same charm with TP graphics, for sure.
