Square Enix has announced Theatrhythm Dragon Quest will receive free downloadable songs and music when it releases for Japan later this month. The popular 3DS rhythm franchise, including Theatrhythm Final Fantasy and its sequel Curtain Call, has always featured paid DLC both in Japan and the west, in order to play through additional songs within the game. However, with Theatrhythm Dragon Quest’s release on March 26, the publisher will now offer all of the game’s future DLC entirely for free.
Those in Japan or with an imported 3DS can now download a special demo version of the game, which features Dragon Quest III’s overworld song and one of the battle themes from Dragon Quest V. Square Enix has yet to announce Theatrhythm Dragon Quest for western audiences, though it’s hoped the latest game will follow in its predecessors footsteps.

I plan on buying this for my JP 3DS because EU seem to hate DQ these days.
