In true comical style Nintendo has admitted that the Mario Party series can end up ruining the most loyal of friendships. when 8 previous games were well recieved and you have another game that is pretty much the same without mario. Yes it’s hard to screw up esspecially when you have a mountain of feadback easily accessible.
7 generally were well recieved, but after Mario Party made it’s way to the Wii, I keep hearing that it went downhill. But I agree with you, Nintendo should listen to ideas from the fans, in regards to gameplay.
For example, I (quite quietly mind you,) wished for a Mario Party game, with Stars, instead of Mini Stars, individual pathing, not the car thing and I wished that Mario Party 10 featured 10 of the best Mario Party minigames from each console Mario Party, with 20+ new, original Minigames…
Mario Party has nothing on Mario Kart when it comes to wrecking friendships.
Nah. You have to actually have some skill to play Mario Kart. Any noob can win at Mario Party.
Battle Mode Mario Kart N64. That was a destroyer. Plus, all my friends and siblings are, I’d say expert level on MK. So shit gets really intense at my house. Same goes for Smash.
Well, yeah. Of course battle mode makes people mad. Especially when you get bad items.
Nintendo should just say the truth and say that they know they’ve ruined Mario Party.

Suddenly, Smash Bros. for Wii U’s Smash Tour looks like a brilliant and excellent example of how to make a board party game (and I fkng despise Smash Tour). Better for Nintendo throw Mario Party in the ice box and focus more on Wii Party, that game is truly good!
Yeah, Wii party is awesome! They should definitely put more focus on it. I didn’t like the Wii U version very much, the one on the Wii was waay better.
XD I can understand why it is called that because you basically have to target friends and eliminate them in minigames, and for some Mario Party games steal their stars to win. I always enjoyed the series though. It doesn’t really destroy friendships, but it can be irritating for the losers at times.
If Mario Party would stop being based on luck, it would be super fun. I despise not being able to win by my own skill. I was always the mini-game coins champion. I always won the most mini-games and the most coins. Usually. And I was the champion at any mini-game that was based on mashing a button the fastest. Too bad my skills can’t guarantee a win.

One time I was playing Mario Party 2 with my friends. I was 3 stars, 9 coins away from first after the last turn. I already “knew that I won all 3 bonus stars so I had to do was win the last minigame. The minigame was platform peril, and my other 3 friends all fell. My sister then takes the controller from my hand to prevent me from winning on the very last jump. I lose the game by less than 9 coins because there was coins in the minigame. This is an example of Mario Party ruining my friendship with my sister!

Honestly looking at videos of MP10 I can say that I, getting this game for sure. It’s been a while since it gotten a Mario Party game (loved MP8 but it crashed) and after skipping 9 and Island Tour i think this one is the best one to go with. I like the look of Bowser Party nod the mini games! Hopefully getting this day one!
