It looks as though Mewtwo is causing some problems for Super Smash Bros players who wish to play online on Wii U. The problem arises when you clear the 10-Man Smash with all Super Smash Bros characters. If you beat it with Mewtwo you can then corrupt your all-important save data. The GSP for that mini-game is reset to zero. If you then decide to play a game online you are then greeted with this message, ‘You have been disconnected because of irregular save data’. The best advice would be to avoid playing 10-Man Smash with Mewtwo until a patch is delivered via Nintendo.

I’m with you on this wario. nintendo’s excuse for taking longer with their dlc is because they are supposed to test everything and they want to get it right the first time. 10 man smash and online play seem like pretty standard elements of smashbros. it took them five freaking months to make mewtwo and on release they have a game breaking glitch that should have been caught.
PFFF who plays 10 Man Smash with every character? I certainly don’t, I played it once and never again.
I did since I’m trying to complete all of the challenges (1 is to complete it with all characters in under 25 seconds) and so I decided to try it with Mewtwo and then the glitch happened to me.
People who want 100%. I beat everything with everyone the first month. Now I just play multiplayer. But every smash I 100%.
Talking about launching buggy games on day one without further testing? Nintendo hardly does that. Updates and DLCs might pose a glitch or bug somewhere like usual.
I’m sorry but now that DLC is available for almost every platform, developers have become lazy to make it not buggy by the release date. For example, Assassin Creed Unity, it was hideous when it launched.

This wasn’t from the original product, it was from DLC which was data later added in, kida hard test fully test NEW data. That’s why when it’s released it’s a test.

Well THAT didn’t take long… Mewtwo’s only been out the door for a few hours and already he’s breaking the game.
Hopefully this is fixed soon- game-breaking glitches should be top-priority.
When I used Mewtwo on my 3DS, while playing Classic Mode, the game froze as I used my Final Smash on a Metal Little Mac. The only solution was to turn my system off, back on, and start over.
I wasn’t even mad.

It seems like some people have no Idea what a game breaking bug is. I say that because this does not look game breaking to me you can’t tell me the game isn’t playable offline because you couldn’t connect online. This will get patched for sure but until there is evidence that this is “game breaking” it just seems too situational and I can think of worse glitches (Skyward sword and other M says hi).
It’s game-breaking in that just completing a certain mode runs the risk of you losing your save data, meaning you have to start all over.
It might not be as serious as the game-breaking bugs found in Skyward Sword or (ugh, gag me) Metroid: Other M, but it’s still something that can’t be allowed to continue existing.
Poor QA job I would say. Additional characters that have save-able stats, records etc. mean more testing in areas where they would affect the savedata.
This is a huge oversight, hopefully they release a patch as soon as possible, and that they don’t repeat the same mistake for any of the other future DLC characters.
Judging from the article no doubt haters will reach and attack however Nintendo, you better patch this up.

Don’t worry. Mewtwo is not the the cause, might be some faulty chip inside the Wii U. When you play 10-Man Smash and go online as Mewtwo, don’t worry. The same thing with error codes. Only a very tiny percentage of Wii U users are affected. It’s perfectly safe.

I wish Nintendo will be more generous to allow every DLC to be in every free update like the free Miiverse stage. I’m jealous that all of you are playing Mewtwo, Lucas, Roy, and Ryu and all other stages. I can’t download them because of NNID and Eshop. I hope I can get Mewtwo, Lucas, Roy, Ryu, two unknown characters, all stages, all costumes, and all other modes from every free update.
