You Can Now Pre-Order Splatoon Amiibo At Walmart

US retailer Walmart now has various Splatoon Amiibo packs available for pre-order. Due to arrive on May 29 alongside Nintendo’s upcoming colourful shooter for Wii U, Inkling Girl, Inkling Boy and a special triple pack featuring an Inkling Squid can now be pre-ordered on Walmart’s official website. But given how quickly amiibo sell, make sure you place your order as soon as possible for guaranteed delivery by ordering at the links above. Both inklings can be purchased for $12.99, while the triple pack comes in at $34.99.

As has been the case since their release, grabbing select amiibo can be particularly difficult. Yesterday, four figures from Wave 5 were available for a short period of time on the Nintendo UK store including Dark Pit, Ganondorf, Zero Suit Samus and Palutena. Let us know if you’re considering purchasing the various Splatoon amiibo in the comments below.

  1. Already preoredred it and got it five dollars less which isn’t much but it is something at least. Not nearly as good as getting all super mario amiibo for $20.

  2. I pre ordered it from Best Buy. I hate Walmart, such an evil company with terrible policies, discrimination and treat their employees and suppliers like they’re nothing. I refuse to support Walmart until they see their employees and supplies as human beings.

    1. I’m a walmart truck unloader and we get multiple breaks, 9 dollar an hour starting pay(subject to increase a few dollars by this time next year for me). I love my job, the supervisors give us extended paid breaks and we usually play smash bros on those breaks.

          1. I'm a Boss Ass Bitch

Truckers have a brake room? The more you fucking know, and I honestly forgot smash was on the 3ds.

            1. I’m not a trucker, I’m an unloader. The truckers drop off the truck in the middle of the day and I work 8 hours taking all the boxes out and organizing them to be stocked.

      1. You are one of the lucky few Walmart employees. Not all of them are as fortunate as you.

Most employees hate their job and work there only because they have to. Doesn’t change the fact that Walmart is a scumbag company and I hate supporting them… I only buy from them when it is necessary, like with amiibos that cant be bought anywhere else.

    1. I though the same about spamazon too, but it turns out that the preorder page is misleading; and the preorders have actually sold out (a long time ago). So if you signed up for email notifs for the amiibo then IDK …..you may never get a notif cuz they are all gone on that site, (at least in the US they are)

      1. No, someone asked an Amazon rep on the “ask us a question” section of the webpage and the rep said that the preorders have not yet gone up.

Someone else said that they have not gone up yet so that people can sign up for notifications to try and purchase the amiibos before scalpers do.

        1. Hmmm… That’s weird…… I was under the impression that they already went up and sold out. I guess keeping the notifications on is okay.

What region are you? I’m in US as you may know.

  3. These Inkling Amiibos do not interest me very much. I think most people feel the same since they haven’t sold out like all the others..I may pick one up in store, which Im sure they will have plenty stocked.

    1. I’m glad. Because they are actually the first amiibos I’ve actually wanted aside from Samus for Smash Bros.

All the amiibos I have (5 in total) were actually bought for me, so these Splatoon ones are the first to make me go online and purchase some for myself.

  4. Not only did I happen to luck out and snag a Wario when I ordered the Inkling 3 pack at Wal-Mart, but ALL of the Wave 4 pre-order tabs were open, albeit Wario was the only one still available. At the same time today, Best Buy had just the Inkling boy available and I got that as well.

Now here’s the fishy part, this is the 5th or 6th time either the Inkling Boy or girl has popped up as a pre-order at Best Buy since Wave 4 released, but with the exception of today, every time I tried to order one, it was immediately sold out. Wario lingered on Wal-Mart’s site today for about 40 minutes before becoming unavailable, and the tabs for the rest of Wave for stayed open for about as long, but again, they kept saying they were unavailable when I tried to make a purchase.

What in the heck is going on here? I’ve actually come to two possible conclusions: Either these retailers are trickling these preorders out at random times in order to avoid their sites from crashing (a la GameStop) OR they are toying with us consumers in order to troll frequent visits to their sites, and potentially more sales of their other wares. I may be looking too far into this, but it’s happening, a pre-order seems to pop up at least a couple times per week. What do you guys think?

    1. I think your looking too far into it. I actually like the idea of retailers doing that because it gives us a better chance at pre-ordering them..

      1. Then I’d have to ask why did I just catch a Pac Man pre-order at Best Buy, at 11:04pm central time and no other preorders went up from wave 4? So far I got 2 Warios, and Pac Man today. There is no rhyme or reason to this.

  5. NintendoIsGodButARetardedOne

No!! I wish they would stop on the pre-orders on the amiibos! You know what, fuck amiibos. They can fuck themselves and choke on their own ducks for all I care. I can’t even get an amiibo without selling out like a little bitch. Thanks Nintendo.

    1. The preorders are popping up sporadically, I just caught a single Pac man at 11:04p central time and he was gone when I tried to order another. I caught 2 Warios today, honest to god truth. It’s some sort of sick game if you ask me

  6. I guess Nintendo trying to keep amiibo’s stock I’ve been seeing amiibo’s at a lot of places now so hopefully they keep them stocked like this that they don’t sell out fast
