We Might Have To Use The Brakes To Handle Mario Kart 8 200cc Update

Oh, tease! Beforehand in Mario Kart 8 you could blast through the tracks without letting go of accelerate, but with the 200cc update releasing on the 23rd of April, Nintendo reckons we’ll actually have to make use of the brakes to get through it without flying off the edges.

It takes skill to get all gold trophies for 150cc, and it’s going to take even more to manage 200cc and get used to actually having to use the B button. I think this almost risks taking away the fun from Mario Kart of being able to just boss through tracks without thinking about it, but either way…  Challenge accepted.

  1. Im busy here playing new releases like MK10 on my ps4 while you babies are playing updates of games released last year, its sad being a wii u owner, getting only 1 new game a year must be HARD

    Lol

    1. Pfft, dream on big boy. Mario Kart 10 doesn’t exist and especially on a Sony console. Maybe you should play some manly games like Mortal Kombat 20 on the Nes to grow up…

      1. He never said Mario Kart… his misleading statement was listing MK10, which he meant Mortal Kombat X but where his stupidity lies is that the initials for that game is MKX but that does remind me of how a lot of PlayStation and XBox fans will try to bash on Nintendo systems and games by calling them for babies but then go on to say that the better company should just buy Nintendo. So you’re saying it’s just the name of Nintendo that makes it sound childish, but yet you still want their games on your manly XBox or PlayStation? Such little kids… just keep playing your Call of Duty games with the hordes of twelve year olds on there.

      >>>The only thing that will be released for your precious PS4 is a computer virus that will let me take over the Sonyan systems and destroy it from within>>>

      1. You don’t even have to play Call of Duty to know kids play it, you can watch someone else play and hear all the whiny little boys crying about not wanting to get shot or killed. You can tell they haven’t even passed puberty for atleast two years. I sure as hell don’t waste my time on Call of Duty, I have enough twelve year olds to deal with on Grand Theft Auto V, thank you. :)

  2. So will the CPU use brakes as well? If not then fuck the CPU I ain’t losin’ to them because of some damn brakes…

    1. Says the one who spends his day trolling a website. I bet you get bullied in school and take out your anger on a website just so you can feel superior for once. Or maybe, your parents got divorced or your depressed and just have to take put your anger on something (Like maybe because you have no friends) . Suck to be you doesn’t it?

      >>>Me too except I am brutal in it and hit with full force anyone that stands in my way, and hunt whoever hits me first for the rest of its misreable existence until I’m tired of playing>>>

          >>>You probably would win the race but when it comes to brutality, I don’t think so>>>

  3. Challenge accepted, but none of this Wii U Gamepad B button nonsense. Steering wheel all the way, so it’ll be the 1 button for me.

    1. I’m guessing you never played F-Zero GX.

Yes, things move at over 2,000 kph and you have brakes, but you will NEVER use them.

  4. Ugh, why can’t Nintendo just stretch the courses and have it more like Sonic and All-Stars Racing Transformed? I loved the speed and feel of it.
