  1. Worst MK by a mile. Even getting it for free as an ambassador felt like a higher price than it’s worth…

    1. It’s an okay game. Not really good nor bad. 8 characters; no unlockables. There are some cool tracks, 5 cups, with a total of 20 tracks and once you beat those, a set of 20 new ones will appear, though short, they have 5 laps instead of 3. You’ll also notice that a lot of the tracks were remade in the entries now. The coins in this game are bit obnoxious as they are hard to get and you loose them for any little thing and if you have 0 then you spin out if you touch someone and CPU’s don’t have any coin consequences and have the normal cheating tactics like super speeds. Not to mention that after you beat a cup, the overall rank depends on how many coins you get. The items are pretty much normal (like N64’s), one thing i like is how you can lay your red or even blue shells down, that way if some one passes, the shell attacks. And the Boo item. :P Plus you can touch someone while they spin out to make em spin out again, It’s pretty funny because you game just keep tapping them.

Once you beat 150cc tracks your reward is the mundane mirror mode and once you beat that your reward is a lame new home screen. Time trails is overall pointless, and the other mode “Quick Run” is probably the one I played the most as you can take out coins from a race, adjust lap count, and switch items off or on. Battle mode is only accessible through linking with someone else, so that’s a downer (IDK how it would work on WiiU).

I loved this game when I was younger, I always played it on my GBA SP like all day and did glitches. It just didn’t age well. xD I’d rather play Mario&Luigi SS Saga, that game is still great.

So that’s a run down I’d give this game. :)

  2. Always loved this one and the music was pretty swell. I liked this better than MKDS. This one looked less trashy imo.

  3. Why 2 Mario Karts? I mean, c’mon, there are legion of great games for N64, GBA and DS, and yet they choose to put 2 Mario Karts there…

    1. The only thing good I can say about Super Circuit is that it was slightly better than he SNES one by today’s standards. Mario Kart DS, on the other hand, was a pretty awesome Mario Kart game, especially because of its mission mode.

  4. I really wanted Mario Kart DS to at least be local multiplayer :( Is it that hard to modify the game a little bit to allow splitscreen for four people? Plus, with splitscreen, the game would look better since the screens are reduced anyway… Yes, I know you can play local multiplayer if somebody has Mario Kart DS, but that sucks.

  5. Ok so I mean this has probably been asked, but why not make some gba ports for the 3ds? I mean nintendo has pretty nih abandoned the wii u at this point. so why push the hardware you plan to drop on ppl who want to play your handheld games on a handheld?

    1. HahahahahahahahahahahahahahHahahahahaha h ahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahah

  6. No really sony and ms have 0 1st party support just shit aaa trash on all 4 of their consoles ps3 ps4 360 xb1….

Almost only nintendo is making wii u games yet nintendo has abandoned the wiiu? Gtfo.

  7. Nice choice of a video… I quit after the lame stupidity over Rainbow Road. He thought he could be clever by sounding like a game theorist, believing that Peach’s castle up in space is a foreshadowing of Mario Galaxy. After being spammed with corrections about it, his excuse was that he hasn’t played far into Paper Mario, only reaching chapter two. So… what was the whole dramatic scene where Peach’s castle is lifted up into the sky underneath Bowser’s castle at the beginning of the game? Or how about when Peach comments on the dark skies when it was daylight outside just a moment ago? You have Mario plummeting down from the castle, plus several scenes where the game switches over to Bowser and Peach’s dialogue throughout the game. Dumbass should’ve admitted he didn’t remember much from the game instead of trying to make an excuse. You can tell he’s frustrated about the corrections. Get some balls, dude and just admit you were wrong.

  8. For me, this was the worst Mario Kart game of all-time. But to be fair, I didn’t play it when it first came out. I played it many generations later. And when I DID play it, the graphics looked so horrible that my eyes couldn’t take it. Same when I play the original SNES version.
