Square Enix has faced complaints by gamers that it used AI on the Kingdom Hearts Collection artwork for the Nintendo Switch 2 and has silently replaced the older artwork with newer artwork that removes the buildings and the clouds. The new art was passed along to retailers to update their store listings. You can check it out down below.

They didn’t fix the idea that these images were ai generated. They just hid the flaws that pointed towards them being ai. The issue wasn’t that the image looked weird, although yes it did; the issue was that it was likely ai generated. Hiding the flaws only makes people more suspicious of this, myself included.
Then don’t buy any games then Square already said they are all in on AI so is Sony, Ubisoft, EA, Epic, Sega, Capcom, and Bandai. Honestly don’t buy anything made in Unreal.

People raise legitimate concerns over how the images were created and your response is “you probably haven’t even played the non-numbered titles” like a weirdo elitist. I’ve been a fan of KH since the first game dropped and I was like 8 and it’s pretty obvious that the box art is a sloppy mess.
Projection, troll, or someone with too much time on their hands. Why do you care if I care about something? I hate ai art especially for boxart because it removes the human element from part of my hobby (collecting physical games in part because of the nice boxart). Ai art taints that part of my hobby, so no duh I’m gonna complain about it. Go be useless elsewhere.
You should complain about most websites they all have AI write their articles Screen Rant, Comicbook, all Penske Media sites, GO Media sites, Complex, Vox, Vice, Kotaku, all of these sites use AI despite claiming to be against it. IGN too.

All anime is using AI now just not disclosed and same with gaming.
I honestly hope we get new box art for this. Like it looks bad, even the new version! Having a white outline with sora is just odd, the hands on some of the characters look really bent. Like even though this was AI, I thought it would have been better.

As a kingdom hearts fan, I do not condone the extremely racist kh fan wanting hate crimes in the comment section. You could have just simply said “boycott kingdom hearts if you hate SE is boiling waste water, damaging the environment and increasing ram price for crap art” instead of adding hate crimes and strawman arguments. But for me, I don’t think we should be gatekeeping. The series will fail if it doesn’t grow it’s fanbase to newcomers. The fanbase has already shrunk so much that a mobile game had to be cancelled already
