You may remember the controversy that happened a few weeks back when Digital Foundry analysed what it claimed to be recent code of Project CARS when it turned out the build was actually a few months old. Well, the team at Slightly Mad Studios have showcased footage from a near-final build of the game to put doubters minds to rest. The footage is taken from the PlayStation 4 version of the game and as you can see it looks rather stunning.
Here’s A Look At A Near Final Build Of Project CARS

What’s the big deal about this game anyways? I’m pretty sure most are just hyped about visuals.
It’s supposed to be like, the most impressive racing simulator in gaming history.
The other video was ‘stunning’ as well. I anticipate DF finding the same faults they found initially. I also seriously doubt despite their contention, that a Wii U version will be released. If it does come it will be a typical lazy port that doesn’t deliver on what they promised.
Typical fanboy logic, jumping to conclusions when nothing has been announce. This is why third parties don’t sell on Wii U, fanboys love to antagonize and set up third party conspiracies. They get so deluded that when the game comes out and it’s actually good, they believe their own BS and don’t buy it. Fuck you
you’re a retarded cunt. It was announced that despite Wii U fans initially helping to fund this…that the game would be delayed for the Wii U. Facts, you simpleton. There’s also been no Wii U footage to date. Fact. Most 3rd party games not named Rayman Legends or Need for Speed Most Wanted are actually lazy, inferior ports…especially those from Ubisoft. What a clueless loser
If Nintendo didn’t have a shitty gimmicky controller that developers had to take extra time and money to make their game take advantage of, and if Nintendo fans hadn’t given up on third party games that were actually released on the systems over the past 15 years, and if Nintendo actually made some serious effort to retain and acquire 3rd party support instead of just saying, “fuck it, we have mario!” – then maybe there wouldn’t be as big an issue and you wouldn’t sound like such a whiny little bitch.
The controller has nothing to do with it. They can format the button layout jist like the pro controller, and the controller is amazing for those that like off screen play or duel screen play like in CoD and Splinter Cell.
Everyone needs to stop blaming the damn controller.
>>>And they keep forgetting that they don’t need to do much with the Gamepad if they don’t want to, just make it compatible with the Pro Controller first instead>>>
except ZombiU sold well. Rayman legends had it’s best attach rate on the Wii U. The few non gimped/late/shovelware titles on the Wii sold decent. I didn’t realize demanding Nintendo polish from 3rd party developers was being a whiny bitch. I guess we should all buy late lazy ports for full price after we’ve already played them on another system…just because. What a dumbass!!
around the 11 minute mark when you see the rain hit the screen it’s nowhere near as nice as the rain effect in Mario Kart 8
Why does every driving angle in the rain have rain hitting the screen? Is that a reality? No. Only the helmet should have that effect. Are we a camera following the car? In all seriousness, if we have a cock pit view shouldn’t we be able to look at our passenger side mirror as well? And why don’t the cart racers bend to the turning? It’s these things that make me wonder how much they really thought about all these elements. It looks like they put so much effort into this game but why are these areas stale?
Leave it to sickr to make a post showing visuals from the PS4 version of a multi-plat racing game on a Nintendo blog, as if the Wii U version will be comparable in that regard.
In other words, keep up the good work. :3
Well, the game is coming to the Wii U, but they have yet to show any footage of it. So, it makes sense to show footage of the game on another console so that people can at least see the content.
It’s taking quite some time… It’s fine. I can wait though. I just hope the PC port is optimized well. :/
The console versions are the ports. It has been on PC for some years as a community developed “project”.
Ah, I didn’t know that. Thanks. :)
He forgot to tell you that the Wii U version was also around back when they were developing it for PC, Wii U, PS3 and Xbox 360.
Actually, the Wii U version was also developed at the same time as the PC version.
The PS4 and Xbox One versions are direct ports, but the Wii U version is it’s own version.
I feel and well hope is more like it that PROJECT CARS for Wii U is a game built from the ground up specifically for Wii U architecture and that is the reason it will take longer.
>>>No>>>
If this game ends up coming to Wii U and is fully supported by the developers and was built to work with the Wii U, then I will 100% buy this game.
It looks incredible.
I’ve lost all faith in this project now that they’ve officially left us behind with the release date.
It’s like a reverse Rayman situation; instead of holding back a game that’s already done, they’re shelving it and waiting till everyone else has their versions before they pay attention to the Wii U version.
Well, guess what?
Treat the fanbase like an afterthought, and that’s the treatment our wallets will show you in return.
I’ll stick to Fast Racing Neo and MK8.
Far as I’m concerned, Project Cars is little more than junk yard material now.
Don’t you have enough games to keep you busy until it comes out? Can’t you just play those instead of bitching like a self-entitled brat?
>>>Nintendo second priority = Game irrelevant>>>
Pretty much every game that comes out is irrelevant using that logic.
>>>The ones that are delayed for having Xbot and Sonyan priorities without doing any enhancements to the Nintendo version of the game then yes, but games like Deus Ex just got better>>>
I’m never played Deus Ex before but I suppose I’ll get around to Human Revolution once I get my PC. I’ve heard good things about it.
>>>Why didn’t you buy it for the Wii U back then when you complained about not having enough games then? Then you would get the full game, changes and DLC all included>>>
I didn’t really care about it all that much to be honest. Heck, I still don’t even know what it looks like or what it’s about yet.
>>>Me neither, before I bought it, I was on the fence about 3 games, Deus Ex, Batman or Pikmin 3, but then I just kept reading about it and decided, why not, and I don’t regret it a single bit>>>
Do you plan on getting the new one?
>>>If it’s as good as HR then yes, if planned DLC from the start then I’ll wait for its price to drop significantly or just buy it used>>>
perri onii tan
Typical Sickr at it again… creating yet another click bait article as usual.
perri
Hooray! Spamming Trolls now!
Another watchdogs situation… :(
It won’t sell on Wii U because Nintendo players only buy fun games. No offense, but this game looks boring as all hell.
3rd party lol
Remember when this was the first Wii u game announced? Haha
Looks so good, they just need to show some Wii U footage to appease Nintendo fans! Don’t know why they won’t actually release some footage of it, it’s been in development ages
To me the game looked realistic when it was earlier in development, now it looks like a game. ( which is not a bad thing really )
