Nintendo World Report TV have brought us this comparison of Ribbon Road gameplay, from the original Mario Kart: Super Circuit on GBA to the new Mario Kart 8 DLC on the Wii U. I think this is one of the best remasters of old tracks, I don’t remember it looking so bad on my GBA! They’ve also compared Cheese Land from the same game, so take a look and see just how awesome the new DLC is.

Dude, PS+ free games is an illusion. Once that subscription is up, those “free games” will be disabled and don’t tell me I don’t know shit because I had a month of PS+ in 2011 when Sony fucked up on not putting security into PSN which they still stupidly do right now.
And take a look at Nintendo restricting their message features all because they didn’t regulate Swapnote from having too many dick pictures being shared and got them into a huge parental panic mode.

I don’t share the part of stopping gaming outside of Nintendo, but this DLC is fucking awesome. I love the new Ribbon Road, and Isabelle is so cute.
Nintendo is doing their own share of fuck ups as well which is also pissing me off. Everyone and everything about this generation is a fucking joke.
I like how Nintendo have made most of their Retro Tracks in Mario Kart 8, look extremely different from their original versions, from a design stand point. It makes these tracks feel like they are new tracks and if you showed this to someone that actually played Super Circuit, without showing them the name of the track, then they would totally be fooled into thinking that it’s actually a new track.
They actually managed to craft some decent tracks from piss-poor source material, and for that I salute them.
Ribbon Road is absolutely gorgeous in Mario Kart 8, they’ve done a fantastic job with these DLC packs.
Still got to play the DLC. It looks fun.

Now regarding the news given, it looks like a brand new track within every angle. Fantastic design though the music doesn’t sound anything like the original but I never owned the original so I do not care but others pointed out elsewhere their dissatisfaction or surprise about the music.
Some of us don’t act like how the comments section usually ends up as. It’s the majority. As in, the majority go on and on about ‘Fanboys’ and ‘Sheep.’ But in terms of your general consensus about this comments section, I agree. I am starting to get extremely annoyed by the amount of trolls there are in the comments. You would think that they would eventually get board of trolling all the time, but they won’t.
Going back to the main point of your comment, I agree 100%. Nintendo do indeed seem to be trying to make the majority of retro tracks, seem new again. Again, I agree on the music portion as well. My first Mario Kart, was Mario Kart Wii in 2010, I then went back to Double Dash because the Wii can play Gamecube games and then to 7 and 8. I haven’t played Super Mario Kart, Mario Kart 64, Mario Kart Super Circuit or Mario Kart DS, so how the music sounds in this game, compared to the other 4 that I just mentioned, doesn’t really bother me, because I am basing it off of my first impressions when I hear it in the new game.

It’s been years since I’ve played Super Circuit, but I still instinctively knew every twist and turn Ribbon Road and Cheese Land would throw at me, those were two of my favorite levels from SC. So glad they got revived better than ever.
