Tose is the Japanese third party studio which is co-developing the long-awaited Persona 4 Revival from Atlus. In a recent finical report, which shows the company’s progress on five projects, Persona 4 Revival is thought to be Project C. This means it is currently on schedule to be completed by 31st August, though it should be noted that this doesn’t include localisation. Current projections indicate a late 2026 release or early 2027 for Persona 4 Revival.

Have you never played the original or Golden before? There’s a lot of stuff in there that warrants the game being labeled for mature audiences. I first played P4 in 2020 during lockdown; I was 28 and the game’s third dungeon and its boss encounter made me uncomfortable… but I think it’s supposed to given the context. I also don’t believe in censorship bullshit like that because that restricts a creator’s vision, so I hope it’s NOT censored.

It won’t get censored. P4 was supposed to make you uncomfortable, because you were seeing the dark, inner thoughts of people gone rampant. It was not meant to be pretty. The third dungeon really makes more sense after Naoto’s dungeon though (don’t remember the number).
The whole point of “persona” is to discover your inner ego. No matter the shape, an evoker, card, or mask, they still refer to the same thing. Everyone has a form of one. However, in the games, depending on situations they get their persona differently.
P3R wasn’t censored, so P4R won’t be either.
Where’s all the games Sega announced before this? Virtua Fighter 6, Jet Set Radio 3, Crazy Taxi 4, Streets Of Rage, and Golden Axe? Nothing since 2023 for most and last I heard Virtua Fighter switched from Dragon Engine to Unreal 5 last year that does not sound good even worse no real gameplay shown only CGI teasers. I assume those games have been cancelled. 2027 will be Persona 4 Revival, new Sonic, and Stranger Than Heaven for Sega games.
This, Sonic Frontiers 2/Eclipse, and Stranger Than Heaven are Segas 2027 lineup so it begs the question where are Virtua Fighter 6, Jet Set Radio, Crazy Taxi, Streets Of Rage, and Golden Axe all announced in 2023? Are they cancelled?
