  1. Really… Silent Hill? Really really? No Shadow of the Colossus but you made room for silent hill?

Fact magazine is an ironic name i see

    1. Yeah I thought having Silemt hill there was pathetic. Some games that should of been there was SM64, Wind Waker, and Xenoblade Chronicles for sure.

  2. Last of us had good music but is way too high on this list. And there are way better soundtracks that blow Last of Us and weren’t even on the list like Shadow of the Colossus, mario galaxy, skyward sword, and Xenoblade Chronicles.

  3. Mario 64? Come on every time I go in the main lobby inside the castle, I get a tingling in my heart and sometimes a tear in my eye from childhood (well I was a young teen actually) and feel home. I know I’m not alone on that lol.

      1. Yea I beat it again a few weeks ago for the first time since back in the 64 days and I forgot about that track. Definitely made me happy too

  4. There’s a strong lack of a modern Sonic game on this list or hell, even Mario Galaxy

Never got through the Last of Us but Sonic Adventure 2 had music that would wipe the floor with LoU

  5. No Halo?! No Pokemon? Bleh. I can’t agree with most of this list Also. I guess its all a matter of opinion.

  6. If Xenoblade, Galaxy, DK Tropical Freeze, Pikmin 3, and Skyward Sword was on there I would agree with it.

In fact, Skyward Sword should be number one. It has the most amazing, beautiful, complicated pieces of music I have ever heard, in or outside a video game. I really hate that everyone overlooks Skyward Swords soundtrack.

    1. I don’t- a lot of my favorite tracks in all of Zelda come from SS.

Ballad of the Goddess? Lanayru Sand Sea? Vs Koloktos? They’re all waaay up there.

  7. Making such a big list is… a monstruous task. I gotta say this one is unsurprisingly a miss. What did they expect.
Ico as first, idk about that, that was probably just the writer’s preference because this game’s OST is nothing memorable past “You were there”. In fact, the game itself is kinda dull, sorry for the old fans.
And no Castlevania, no Tales of, no Golden Sun, no The Elder Scrolls, no Dear Esther, even in the full top 100 list on their website. Utch. Those are really ones you don’t wanna forget.

  8. This list SUCKS. Streets of Rage 2 over Streets of Rage 1?? Give me a break! Better game but NOT better soundtrack. Also ICO on top? Just come on now. Way too many classics missing here.

  9. No Last Day theme from Majora’s Mask?
    No Bushlands from Cave Story?
No Paved with Good Intentions from Skullgirls?
No Sakura’s Theme from Street Fighter 4?
No Tank Theme from Left 4 Dead?
    NOTHING FROM FIRE EMBLEM AWAKENING!?!?

  10. Fucking Portal? I can’t remember a single note other than the robot song and its annoying radio music version.

  11. No Xenoblade, Galaxy 1 & 2, Majora’s Mask, or most of the Zelda games, Final Fantasy X had some great music, DK TF was amazing as well. Glad DKC2 is on here

  12. how on earth did terranigma not make it into the top 100

is this again a case of the “let’s ignore everything that wasn’t released in the US”?

  13. Ridley, the Angel of Death

From looking at the comments, this magazine made a huge mistake not having Xenoblade Chronicles in the top 20. It better be in the top 30 at least because that game definitely ranks in my top 10 best soundtracks… if I had the time to compile one of every game I’ve ever played!
