Devil’s Third Will Be An Amazon Exclusive In Japan

The release date for Devil’s Third on the Wii U was announced earlier today, and it has now emerged that the retail version in Japan will be an Amazon exclusive. The option for a digital version is still available on the Nintendo eShop, but if you want a physical version in Japan then you’ll have to go through Amazon. Take a look at the box art and gameplay screenshots of the game in the gallery below, and see what you think!

  1. It seems that we’ll be getting the “Director’s Cut” version of Devil’s Third in both North America and Europe.

I don’t know why people think the graphics look bad. I just viewed the screenshots and the graphics look really good!!! Much better than how the game looked back at E3 last year.

  2. Devil’s Third is my most anticipated game this year that I know of. It looks like as much fun as Splatoon. I need my Ninja Gaiden fix. The online mode looks epic. The cover art looks very cool. E3….

    1. I don’t know, lately the Wii U tittles expected to flop didnt. And the Wii U tittles expected to be sellers did not meet expectations in sales. I’m tight lipped. I thought Mario Party 10 and Splatoons were going to be flops.

  3. this looks pretty sad. they delayed releasing it to make it an amazon exclusive. they really don’t have much faith in it. u can’t sell games without distribution or backing. gotta wonder why Nintendo would even fund it.

  4. It would seem the nearly every decision made about this game, from its Wii U exclusivity to its design choice to this, has been setting it up to be one of the biggest flops of this generation. In all honesty, the less people that can buy it the better.

  6. This game is undoubtedly going to flop. It doesnt matter how good it is. The stupid lack of advertising and faith in the game will not help it sell. Its almost like valhalla knows the games going to flop and arent going to even try.

    1. Not really a flop if it gets good reviews.
Yes, it’ll probably be a flop in terms of sales but if it gets a good reviews across the board then I doubt that it’d be classified as a “flop”

  7. I’m seeing this game as more of a rental tbh. Not too hyped for it because it looks like any other action game. Personally I don’t really like ninja Gaiden type games either I’m more into exploration than racking up combos and getting the s rank at the end of the level.

    1. The constant negativity is sickening. Twenty years ago I was happy to play any type of video game available (Arcades/Home). The internet has created a bunch of self righteous assholes who thrive on negativity and insulting anything and anyone. I’m buying Devil’s Third day one.

  8. Looks like Nintendo is trading a corporate payoff for the lost revenue in sales… Wise move, honestly (the game looks like fun but will likely bomb hard).
