Shin Megami Tensei x Fire Emblem Will Take Around 30 Hours To Clear

Shin Megami Tensei x Fire Emblem is one Wii U title that I’m sure a lot of you are looking forward to. We received some information regarding the crossover title at E3 this year. However, the latest edition of Japanese gaming bible Famitsu contains a number of key points including that Shin Megami Tensei x Fire Emblem will take you around 30 hours to complete. But if you decide to participate in the numerous side quests found throughout the game then it is going to be about 60 hours before you complete it. Check out details, below.

  • Fire Emblem characters are being selected from Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light and Fire Emblem: Awakening. Others will also appear as friends, or as enemies or masterminds.
  • Characters are selected based off things such as their popularity ranking data. Both Cain and Abel will also appear.
  • Characters that appeared as enemies in Fire Emblem will appear as enemies in this game.
  • The main story takes about 30 hours to clear. The side stories and such take about the same amount of time.
  • The game is currently in the debugging and balance adjustments stage. All of its features have already been implemented.
  • This is being called a Fire Emblem and Atlus collaboration, but it’s a completely new RPG that any RPG fan can enjoy.

    1. I agree….it’s too japanese and too j-pop and looks cheesy.. To me…this jrpg doesn’t look intriguing and not cup of tea. I rather buy Xenoblade chronicles x… Looks way better.

  1. This is going to be so refreshing. It’s hands down, the most hope inspiring project on the horizon for wii u aside from Zelda. If it wasn’t for these experiences, I’d have nothing but a pall of sorrow looking ahead.

  2. The salt is seriously real on 4Chan and Gamefaqs, mostly because we will only see Awakening and Shadow Dragon characters from Fire Emblem. I wouldn’t mind seeing some guys from the Elibe and Telius saga and you don’t see me throwing a fit about. This is more than enough proof that this could be Nintendo’s very own Kingdom Hearts and we could see more if it turns out to be successful.

    1. I’d kill to see more Elibe and Tellius representatives. I’m actually replaying Fire Emblem 7 and Path of Radiance so all this Fire Emblem hype really has me wishing they’d show up. And that card game, Fire Emblem 0, that released only features characters from Shadow Dragon and Awakening as well. :/ Here’s to hoping we see the other continents represented.

        1. This will be like Persona, it has the Persona vibe and I don´t think it´s a bad thing. I like the style and the J-pop setting. This will be a fun game, for sure

        3. I’m definitely looking forward to this game. It’s nice to see the Wii U will finally get more RPG’s

        4. Hmm, I was under the impression that this wasn’t going to have any SMT or FE characters in it and the “crossover” was mainly the idea of Atlus and Intelligent Systems working together on a new game that incorporated elements of both series together, mainly the character designs of FE and the settings of SMT (along with game play). Has it been confirmed if there is going to be any SMT characters in it or just FE? If its just FE and Nintendo is going to end up owning the rights to it (like Wonderful 101, Other M and StarFox Adventures), then I guess this game could be considered a Fire Emblem spin-off of sorts (or new IP) and all of its characters will be owned by Nintendo.

          1. Fuck you you stupid as piece of shit just shut up whoever the hell you think you are you stupid son of a bitch! Get your roody-poo candy-ass out of here before the Rock lays the sweet smack down on your monkey ass! If ya SMELLLLLLLLLLLLLL! What THE ROCK!!!!!!! Is cookin’!!!

          2. The game looks great… And intriguing.. But what I don’t like is the huge amount of J-pops…not my cup of tea.

            1. It’s a JRPG!!!!!! a JRPG made by Japanese people for Japanese market. The game will be released in the west cause Japanese culture which does not include just video game are popluar especially in Europe.

I understand where you coming from but just point out the obvious and facts.

                1. I think you will be surprise, how J-pop can be popular in the west. Granted it’s not gonna be like a COD which will sell milliond in 2 days, but I would not surprise if the game has reach 1M units in Europe alone and 2M in Japan after 6 months.

                  1. I would love to see that…..if the game indeed does go way beyond of what we expected…then I am sure the developer would make a franchise out of it.

                2. I think 30 hours is a fair amount of content. Atlus usually makes great games so I plan to get the game.

                3. It looks good, and a decent amount of hours. I wasn’t sold on it because of the trailers, but watching the demo helped out a lot.

                4. I really hope there’s at least an option for Japanese audio/English subs. I don’t want to play an English dub version of this game

                5. I’m getting this Day 1. If only the characters in XCX were designed by this group. Not that there’s anything wrong with it, I just prefer this style… XD

                6. I will buy that game, giving the lack of RPG on Wii U and the fact I did not bother too much playing fire emblem. Like someone mentioned early, I jkust hope there is an option for Japanese audio/English subtitle.
