The new NFC reader/writer will soon be available for those of you who are still using the standard Nintendo 3DS and not the New Nintendo 3DS. The device will be available to purchase on Thursday in Japan and therefore a number of Nintendo 3DS games are getting updated so you can scan in your various amiibos. Code Name: S.T.E.A.M., Fire Emblem If, Ace Combat: Assault Horizon Legacy + and One Piece: Super Grand Battle! X are all in the process of being updated. The device launches in North America on September 25th and Europe on October 2nd.
